Where Do Your Blog Visitors Come From?
I really love Google Analytics. It’s the blog and site metric webware that I use. It allows me to see at a glance my blog’s stats: how many visited, from where and what they read. If you have a blog, I suggest you try it too.
Now, a year into blogging, I’d like to show you guys where visitors to this site come from.
From my latest count, I have visitors from 126 countries. Whoa! That’s a lot. Thanks to some good ol-fashioned SEO and link baiting, I for one am happy with the results.
Let’s take a look…

The more dense the green color is, the more visitors come from that area. As you can see, the Philippines is the most dense and populated. Pinoys account for around 60% of the visits. That’s down from around 80% a few months ago. The United States is fast catching up, which now accounts for18.70% of visits as this chart and pie will show you

If you want to get a lot of foreign visitors, make sure that
- Your content is original, fresh and relevant to your niche
- Make sure that you don’t “localize” it too much.
- If ever you’re going to have some phrases in your local language, translate it
- Increase your technorati rank by having your links aggregated by other bloggers and blogging services
- You get a high search rank in Google and Yahoo
These are just some of the primary steps where you can monetize your blog. I already wrote about optimizing your blog a few months back. Make sure you also read on that.
Meanwhile, I’m off now to enjoy my holidays with some hard, earned sleep, catch up on my DVDs and finally finish God of War for the PSP.
Peace!
