At last, the long downtime due to the server merge is finally done and I’d like to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to New Chaos (November 14, 2008), Ragnarok’s latest merged-server.

New Chaos is the amalgamation of Baldur, Tyr and Freya. First, I’d like to apologize for the long downtime. As you may all know, the RO database is more than 5 years old and we have MILLIONS of accounts that need to be split. The entire process took longer than we expected. Again, we’re sorry to keep you guys waking. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who chipped in to make this monumental task a reality…

NEW CHAOS

First, thanks to Ryan Sacares and the RO team for leading the charge. Also, a million thank you goes out to our support team from Gravity and the engineers who flew in from Korea to supervise the merge. Thanks also goes to all the departments in Level Up who lent a hand; ICT, Product Dev (especially GM Destiny for giving us great ideas and doing superb QA), Product Management, Sales, Game Management, Customer Support, Creatives and of course to Marketing, our team.

Last but not least, is of course, the hundreds of players who helped us during the conceptualization of New Chaos, especially the guild leaders who made great suggestions which were now implemented - we owe you guys BIG TIME!

Now, the New Chaos is here, we’re encouraging everyone to go back to our roots - Ragnarok! I’m sure 9 out of 10 Pinoy MMO gamers started out killing porings and pRO is indeed memorable to most, if not all, of us. We here at the RO team have come up with themed “Balik Ragna” events and promos to make the visit to New Chaos as easy and smooth as possible.

BAKIT AKO BABALIK NG RAGNAROK?

This may be one of the questions that players always ask me. Let me tell you the reasons why:

More people equals more fun - now that we’ve wiped all Agit ownership to neutral and deleted all the guilds, it’s time to forge new alliances and of course, old enemies will be there to stop us. Call or text all your friends, do bulletins in your friendster accounts, send tons of e-mail, plurk or twitter about it - there are a hundred ways for you to spread the word and gather your troops for the eventual conflict in New Chaos.
Siege is more fun - Like I said above, a lot of people going for offense and defense will mean a whole new world of strategy. To help you with these, we’re even making it a bit tougher - the Emperium’s HP is now x10 (soon). Whoa! Time to get a better weapon to break the emp, eh? We’re currently reviewing the siege schedules too so that it will be easier for the students, weekend siege sounds nice, diba?
It’s cheaper - Yep, we’ve slashed off the prices for subscription significantly. A week of pRO used to be P100, now it’s only P75 and a month now only costs P250. This means more savings for you guys, savings that can go to your character via the Item Mall
EXP events - we hear you! We’re giving you EXP events yet again so you can catch up with your guildmates and prep for the new agit siege. This will be announced soon.
Promos and Discounts - we know that you guys value your money. That’s why we make it a point to do regular promos and discounts for all the citizens of Midgard, not just New Chaos (we still take care of the Valkyrie and Valhalla peeps). gm t, can u shed some light on the new promo subscription rates.. when u say Promo Duration: November 14, 2008 to December 14, 2008 only.. does this mean temporary lang lahat ng new rates? aftr december 14, 08.. ibabalik lit sa dating rates? or ung 3 days + 4 days FREE promo lang maging affected? dami po kc naguguluhan.. almost everybody are still hoping na permanent, as in for forver ganun na, lahat ng pagbabago sa subscription rates.. >,

Business is business. But in order for a business to survive, listen to your customers.
How will players go back to RO if they got the shorter end of the deal? From all the sites and forums i’ve visited, players are only asking two things: EXP mod, and game time rates reduction. Have LU granted this? Absolutely not. No EXP mode, game time rates reduction is only for a month. Before the server merge, I imagined that LU will announce a permanent 75/wk load and a 5X or 3X EXP for a week. This will surely attract old and new players alike. Imagine seeing new chaos’ population to 5k if LU has given in to the players’ demand? LU screwed up again. They should think of a win-win situation for themselves and the players. pRO will die not because of bots, but because of LU’s poor judgment. GM, please reply.

i have a split account when you did the server merge may 2006. i was hoping that my split account would be merge to just one account in this recent server merge new chaos. i made a request thru your customer support for this purpose. they replied that they cannot transfer character from one account to another. well it was not my fault that i have a split account. i remember that LU promised to provide 6 slots in the may 2006 server merge so we can trasfer those characters. due to your technical problems and other pressing issues like “dupes” your promise did not materialise and forgotten. i know 2 other persons who have the same problem as mine.
why can you not make us happy by just approving our simple request. we hope that we will be hearing a positive response from you.

I spoke too soon… LU is giving 3X exp mod, top-up bonus and item mall discount. I will definitely load up. These things will surely please gamers, why not offer these things on a monthly or bi-monthly basis?
For me, a permanent 75/week load is good enough, but the students are asking for 50/week. I dunno how will LU address this, from 100/week to 50/week will surely eat up on LU’s income. And lesser income means no business.

Good Day GM.
i’m a veteran player of ragna. ive stopped playing for 3 years now but still im always updated to the new things in ragna now coz’ im a true blue ragna adik (financial crisis was the main reason y ive stopped). ryt now, as ive seen that ragna is slowly getting more affordable, i decided to play again.so ive acquired a “nameless” episode cd of ragna and immediately installed it on my pc.
my problem now GM is after autopatching, it won’t “GAMESTART”..i dont know whats wrong with it..pls help me GM..i really want to play ragna again…plssssssssssssssss…GM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pls. help me i want to retrieve my Assasscin cross and monk in old server in “odin”. when i top up my acct. ni neew chaos i only saw my characters in chaos and loki.. what should i do to retrieve my old characters in odin server… pls. help me! T_T

is this all you’ve got for the players of pRO? sheeez. honestly i understand LU’s situation. i know that you’re gettingbeaten by other online games which i wouldn’t mention anyway because you alredy know. 75/week rate is good enough. but how about a permanent weekend 3x exp mode? and no more shits to come out of the online market just like what happened to Valkyrie. damn! selling each type of monster card???? that’s terribly annoying. playing for 3 years now and i’m already thinking of coming back. if the situation would change. money doesn’t matter here. PLAYERS matters most. less players less excitement. that’s it.

actually i have made many accounts

from diff servers.

and i am coming back 2 pRO

but y not grant the players’ requests

we will surely appreciate if you

make pRO more “makamasa” u know the term.

i miss my frends playing pRO

but bcoz of high rates and low EXP mods

they’ve gone. i wonder if they will come back

i left pRO for more than 2 years!

i thought wen i wud check it out it wud F2P

just lyk other online games.

surely it wud bring out the old players if u
