[ video ] Mr. T WoW TV Ad

The marketing guys at Blizzard have struck a jackpot with a series of TVCs starring Mr. T and William Shatner.

Although Kiven already posted this at his site, it’s worthy of replicating it here.

I really think that tri-media and especially TV ads are not normal marketing channels, it’s certainly an exception if you’ve got the money and the nice product - like WoW.

Check out Mr. T’s “Night Elf Mohawk!!!”. Really funny.

This made me all excited as I thought of ways to do this virally perhaps, for our games. Time to hit the drawing boards. Great work, Blizzard.

In my opinion it doesnt matter if its a 3d animation or not. TV ad is dependent on the concept. The more humurous it is, the more retentive it will to the public.

There’s a WoW ad with William Shatner too, he plays a Shaman. And there’s a WoW/Coke ad for China players with cute girl players in it.
