[video] Moral Kombat
Tirades about violence in video games is nothing new. But here’s something interesting from independent American filmmaker Spencer Halpin – It’s documentary movie called Moral Kombat
In the trailer below, you’ll get to see how terrorists may have learned to fly a commercial jet and crash it on huge buildings. Whoa!
Being a gamer and being FOR video games does not mean I promote violence. Personally, I think it is both a social and family responsibility. Social means that those who make, produce and market the games have to do something about the excessive violence while families, especially parents, should also monitor what their kids play or even watch (there are more violent stuff on TV and movies, if you ask an expert).
Anyways, let’s see the trailer, shall we?
Here’s a description of the movie from Mr. Halpin quoted from this source
MORAL KOMBAT is an inaugural in-depth look at the “interactive entertainment” industry as it elates to the controversial subject of violence in video games – a matter which crosses party lines and empowers over 100 pieces of anti-games and anti-gamer legislation annually.
The film takes an unprecedentedly-candid look at the hot-topic debate that pits artists’ rights and our culture’s thirst for violence and sensationalism, against our social obligation to protect the youth generation as it takes shape and, inevitably, shapes our future.
Gaming has come into its own as an established sector of the broader entertainment industry with sales in excess of $10 billion annually, and this full-length HD feature documentary marks the first time the cultural impact of this media has been explored on the big screen.

Video games don’t make people violent. Other people make people violent.
Gaming is just a convenient scapegoat for the real problem, which is the disintegration of family values.
Answer me this - if you need a driver’s license to drive a car, why aren’t you required a parenting license to have a kid? Aren’t you going to do more harm if you aren’t qualified to raise a child?
