AFAIK d90 has cleaner images that 500d pero unless you are going for daylight photography 500d is a good choice…Sana may ganyan din ako

i think nikon d90 would be a better investment, kaso mas mahal nga, suerte talaga nung friend ko, nabili niya ng 44k yung d90 niya last year, before nag increase ng 20% yung mga nikon cameras and lens.

Welcome to the SLR club sir GM T.

Just some nitpicks. Yes the 500D has more pixels than the D90 but it’s sensor is smaller. You can read some VERY technical comparisons over at digitalreview

And the D90 does have HD video but it can only manage upto 720p. The 500D goes up to 1080p
