Due to some deadlines that I had to meet at the office, I wasn’t able to post this regular week-ender. I promised myself I’d compile a brief “week that was” before the weekend. Well… better late than never.
It still was NOT a quiet weekend in the halls of our office. Ragnarok was still very much in the limelight as the final decision/solution for the dreaded Item Dupe issue was finally given the green light.
Monday was a day of new people. A couple of guys were recently added to the LUG family. Codamon is one and the new category manager for marketing, Randy, joins us to handle some of the new games like Perfect World.
We were off to a good-week as we held an entire-day brainstorming for Ragnarok 2 last Tuesday. We synced all ideas with the other departments. This early, we want to plan ahead for the exciting months as we prepare for this massive title – something that we need to do right. Of course, expectations are high for Ragnarok 2 and we don’t want to disappoint. Too bad I wasn’t able to attend the planning session. Sigh. But Carlo Ople, RO Brand Manager promised to brief me on this.
Mid-week, the RF team summons me to decide on several issues about their City Under Siege tour. The CUS has been an awesome event which spanned countless locations all across the archipelago. Well, thanks to inputs from the community, we also met with our Trade Marketing Manager (the lovely Ms. Shella) so that improvements in the event and coordination will be implemented. I’m excited about this. It’s good that the teams are taking feedback and then working on it.
Of course, everyone now knows what we did for to RO Item Dupe, right? I already posted about that, so I won’t go into the details.
Also, I asked the brands to submit new updates for the LIVE 2007 site so expect new content there next week including videos, pics and updates regarding the current state of the tournaments.
GM Atma, newly promoted to the position of acting FlyFF Brand Manager, also approached me to iron out some problems with communicating with Aeonsoft – the developers for FlyFF. We also sat down to work on the documents and marketing preps for Version 8 of FlyFF. That’s in the pipeline too.
I guess that’s it! That’s it for another wonderful week…
Seeya next week!
