Being a novice and a noob is not easy.

Back in the weeks when RF Online went free, some players were exploiting the chaos potions - these potions allow you to hit those of your own race. What some griefers did was kill all the lowbies spawning into the newbie lands. Really, really annoying if it’s your first time to play RF Online.

I discussed this with Keith, my RF Brand Manager and the new and lovely CM Cydie. Phase 1 of the plan was to convince CCR to make the Chaos Pots more expensive (yup, they already did this) and the second one was to make a “newbie tour” where RF Vanguards and volunteers would guide all newbies into RF online.

Not just information and basic knowledge of the game, mind you. We also have a few consumables and newbie items to give away.

Kudos to the RF team for coming up with this great idea. If it works well, we’ll incorporate it into the other games as well.

THE RF ONLINE PHILIPPINES NOVUS TOUR

In light of the recent directives from the War Council, a project was initiated by the Vanguards that would educate new personnel regarding your ways in Novus. The project is aimed towards familiarizing new recruits on how to utilize their equipment and weapons, along with knowledge on who to talk to when they need to restock on potions, chargers, and the like. Some survival tips may also be provided.

This project has been dubbed “The Novus Tours.”
GENERAL MECHANICS
Please refer to the Novus Tour Section’s Schedules and Registration Forum:

REGISTRATION
The process on how to register is as follows:
1. In the Novus Tour Schedules and Registration Forum, you will find several Tour threads posted by Vanguards. Each thread is a single tour, which will start at a specific date and time for a specific server and race.

2. If you are level 5-15, you may choose a tour.

3. Once you have chosen a tour schedule you are comfortable with, please register using the format below:

4. The Vanguard who will lead the tour will close the thread and indicate who are cleared to join the tour. Keep yourself updated by visiting the thread before your the scheduled tour.
START OF THE TOUR

1. The Vanguard who will lead the tour will use an NPC in-game with the following names:

* [NPC]TourGuideA (for Accretia)
* [NPC]TourGuideB (for Bellato)
* [NPC]TourGuideC (for Cora)

2. The Tour Guide will be online 15 minutes before the scheduled tour.

3. Once all the participants are present, or once the time for the start of the tour arrives, the tour will begin.

4. The Tour Guide will tour the participants through the HQ and Settlements, including Sette and Crag Mines if possible.

5. An orientation on the Magna Carta will also be given.
END OF THE TOUR

At the end of the tour, EACH of the participants will get the following as giveaways from the Tour Guide:

* 10 stacks of 1000 HP pots
* 10 stacks of 500 FP pots
* 2 bags
