I once spent 10 hours in pRO on one long weekend vacation day, 3 years ago. But, I spent 1/3 to half of it vending or AFK-recovering, meaning I had lunch/dinner/comfort room breaks/watched tv for short periods. :-)

My longest: 12 hours, bathroom breaks and snacks all day.
It was for a game called Planetarion, a text-based game. They had a speed round (a round faster than normal, yeah :P) and instead of real-time of building and flight, it was 1-minute or 2-minute ticks (a.k.a. hours if in real-time). I was on it all day and we won, we got T-Shirts and a free round to play in the normal game.

But more or less, it's 1-2hrs when I find the time.

    * Hydrate - Mountain Dew!! Just kidding, water will suffice.
    * Don’t fight the call of nature - You cannot stop the force of nature.
    * Take regular breaks - My version of a break is a cry of frustration...if I do something wrong or if I get owned in a game :P
    * If your body is sending signals - such as drowsiness, fatigue, etc. Again, don’t fight it. Get some rest. There’s still tomorrow and the next gaming day. ...... BUT... JUST... ONE... MORE... LEVEL... (and/or FRAG)...

If you can't tell what time it is, or what day it is because you've been glued to the pc or the XBox 360, then you have been playing for too long.

People should learn how to balance. Too much of a good thing is bad.

the longest, almost non-stop, time i played pRO was 7 hrs. that was devoted to doing quests (nakakasawa mag seal quest hehe) along with my guildmates. muntik na nga namin mamiss yun 4th seal dahil sa overnight questing namin hehe..

but really, it messes up one's sleep cycle, lalo na late afternoon-early morning usually nag aadik mode ang mga players (when they get home from school/work)..

My sleep cycle was disturbed by too much gaming as well. Too bad that I had to see a "Sleep Specialist" doctor. Oh well, those were the days that I wasn't too busy with this thing called 'life' yet. Blackwolf can attest to that... winks

Well the longest I seriously ever gamed for was 72 hours, I went to bed for like 1-2 hours and did it again. if it wasn't for people bringing food for me and drinks I think I woulda died. It was awesome though I had tons of fun. And yea that was when I was like 17 or something I'll never do it again. That's just my record. I'm sorta not proud of.

so that does equal 144 hours of gaming on only a couple hours of sleep at most. I was trying to beat a friend's record. and I smashed it

Talk about disturbed sleep cycles. I used to get up once every hour just to check if my pRO blacksmith had sold anything.

Now, it's happening again, this time with my Perfect World character.

Sleep doctor, here I come. :P

" * A casual gamer plays maybe an average of an hour each day. Totals 7 to 10 hours a week
    * A hard-core gamer may consider 3 to 6 hours an “average” session. I know some guys who game 24 hours straight or more on weekends.
    * Time spent playing online spikes up on Fridays and Saturdays"

wahaha 3-6 hrs hardcore ano kaya ako???? its normal for me to turn on the PC after I woke up... then eat breakfast while still lookign at monitor... then upto 1130... then eat lunch while lookign at monitor.. then hmmm upto 3am...
the longest i played was 20 hours.. i was playing PW/dota/RO.. (to fight the boredom and being monotonous)

    * Hydrate - lots and lots of C2, nestea and coffee1
    * Don’t fight the call of nature - there's a comfort room at the shop.. :P
    * Take regular breaks - breaks meaning buying food at kfc and mcdo nearby.. :P
    * If your body is sending signals - slept infront of the pc..

the good thing about it is that i finished my paperwork while flying though the perfect world..

now i play RF.. ipit mode.. more time to finish my paper work.. haha..

A bit more than 4 hours. That was because of a Territorial War in PW. If I "stay" longer in some days, I usually go AFK for a period.

Hydrate - Cup of Coffee - usually Hazelnut Coffeemate with it; 1-2 Liters of Water, A large mug of soup, Nestea Litro, Mountain Dew, etc... Do not overdo energy drinks - that's borrowed time and your body will soon collect your debts.

Nourishment - Try wellness stuff. A side salad slathered with some caesar salad dressing (yea not absolutely healthy but it beats chips), angel hair pasta with a little olive oil and mackarel sauteed in garlic, macaroni salad with ham and cheese, cottage cheese and bananas... nothing too heavy or oily. Light food keeps you from becoming lethargic - You can play longer and more efficiently.

Don’t fight the call of nature - Before doing a dungeon run or fighting a war be sure to prepare. Do anticipate all calls of nature for an uninterupted experience. Get it out of the way first.

Take regular breaks - Remember all those cute little articles on excercises in the office? Those work too. I used to have a punching bag set up nearby and I used to take 3 minute rounds on it. My mom and brother used to wonder what the heck I was doing in the computer that could make me sweat so much.

If your body is sending signals - It means you're already inefficient. Time to rest up and act on it. There will be another time for gaming and when rested you'll be more alert. This is most especially true if you're a support type - you miss a critical heal and your party's toast.

Unfortunately there are times... Right now my body's sending me signals to rest. I'm in the office and have been here since 6:30 am (Color Coding!). I wonder if it would be remiss if I slept at my desk, since I'm done with the stuff I need to submit before lunch (That's why I'm commenting! I've been doing reports since 6:30am)...
