The ICQ Toothpaste
Do you remember ICQ? One of the first instant messaging services in the web?
The Israeli company that developed ICQ has recently partnered with a pharma company to come up with a real, working ICQ TOOTHPASTE (see below). I kid thee not.
In fact, it seems that their marketing mantra is “help P2P communication (person to person) while reducing bad breath.”
Lame? Cool? Useless?

You decide…

weird for me.
Uh-oh! *ding*
Bro, actually, it’s “the” first IM
Its years before the ‘next’ IM was released and *ehemm* toppled ICQ from the IM space.
The Israeli company is called or was called “Mirabilis”, they were bought by AOL after people migrated to AIM, YM, and the old MSN (now WLM). Although, ICQ is still being developed in Israel but already under the name AOL.
AOL then ignored ICQ, resulted to its slow downfall. However, it is still widely used, just not in the territories of its competitors. Philippines - ICQ to YM. Korea - ICQ to MSN. US - ICQ to AIM. China - ICQ to QQ. Many of my contacts from Europe still use ICQ and ICQ alone hehe…
And well, what’s the toothpaste got to do with IM’ing? Weird. If you curse, “wash my mouth” with the ICQ toothpaste?
Hmm… YM’s new product… “YM Condoms” have a safer cybersex via YM and YM Chat. lawlz
