So what happens when Zombies get all emo on us? Well, there’s this unbelievable new movie called Warm Bodies which takes on “Twilighty” traits.
I hope they don’t sparkle too. Sigh. More pics and the plot after the jump.

Spent the weekend catching up on unwatched movies. Thanks to one of my buddies, I finally got a copy of The Horde, a French-made zombie flick. And hell yeah, the French do not disappoint.

Yes, you heard it right, the United States Center for Disease Control (CDC) released a semi-real Zombie Apocalypse Guide in its website recently. The post, entitled SOCIAL MEDIA: PREPAREDNESS 101: ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE by Assistant Surgeon General Ali Khan instantly became an Internet hit.
There are precautionary tips on what to do during an actual zombie invasion, how to make an emergency plan with your family, as well as the normal protocols that the CDC would do in case of a real zombie invasion.

It’s bound to happen. One the best (if not, THE best) zombie series on TV, The Walking Dead, will soon be available as a video game.
The game is currently being developed by Telltale Games (creators of Sam & Max). Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman said via an interview at IGN that the game will be ”multi-year, multi-platform, multi-title” (whatever that means) and is scheduled to be released late 2011 for “PC, Mac, consoles, handhelds, mobile and social gaming media.”

Zombies and games. You think they’ve already thought about all iterations, concepts and creative executions for us to give the genre a second look? Not.
Well, feast your eyes on the trailer below for Dead Island. Set to be released this year (no hard dates yet).

I’ve always been a zombie fan and been wanting to have a Filipino create and direct a world-class zombie film. Well, Zombadings (Patayin sa Shokot si Remington) is probably the closest we can get.
It’s a comedy, though, and is slated to be shown this year, 2011. Interesting concept and trailer. The cinematography is superb. I must say that I’m looking forward to watching it.
Trailer follows…
Being a Zombie buff (and yes, I hereby declare the year 2010 as The Year of the Zombies), I’m currently addicted to the new US TV series, The Walking Dead. Based on a comic book by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore, the TV series is a good adaptation… with a lot of tweaks and edits to make the pacing and action stand out on TV.
I just finished watching Episode 6, which is my favorite so far. We’re just a couple of days behind the US showing. If you have cable, The Walking Dead is shown on Fox (check your cable’s TV scheds for local showings).
More of the Walking Dead (plot summary, stills and a trailer) after the jump…

Last Saturday, Oct 30, 2010, I was invited by my new friend Sam Vigilia to attend Zombiethon 2010, the first major zombie walk for the Philippines. Always a Zombie lover, I obliged the invite and rushed to document the event. Too bad the bar where we were supposed to cap the event closed down. Oh well, the Zombie walk will still push through. Around 20 or so zombies showed up for the event, and we had an awesome night.
We walked the stretch of Timog, QC and scared the hell out of motorists. We had a blast!
More photos after the break. Happy Halloween, folks!

Always loved Zombies!
In fact, Zombie walk events fascinate me. Always wanted to organize something like this in the Philippines. Good thing, newfound friend and fellow Zombie enthusiast Sam Vigilia beat me to the punch.
He’s organized a Zombie Walk on the night of October 30, 2010 at Timog, QC. Details after the break…
I have to admit it. I’m a zombie genre fan!
Especially now that L4D is getting the playing time it deserves (special thanks to 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later), I thought I’d share with you 7 practical zombie survival tips in case all the movies and games we’re currently enjoying come to life (oops, I mean “unlife”)…
