Official President NoyNoy Site FAIL

On May 28, it was our National Flag Day.

Apparently, the people working on the official site of the President do not know which color of our flag is right side up.

Best Age Verification System

Whenever there’s web content or online promos, most websites have potential viewers or contestants verify their age by the hoo-hum boring “enter-your-age-to-confirm” dialogue box.

Well… I found the epic system that pawns them all (see above)!

I guess it really is a deterrent. Most youngsters won’t even know what that thing is! LOLS.

Yahoo To Close MyBlogLog On May 24, 2011

When Yahoo acquired MyBlogLog I think a year ago, I thought that changes to the service would make it better. Yahoo acquired MyBlogLog in the interest of giving bloggers a solution to keep track of their community and to share common interests. I have been using MyBlogLog since the early days (2007) when I started blogging.

It offered visitors to your blog a chance to be included in that “box-with-a-lot-of-heads”.

Cartoon and Movie Cars Come To Life

When I was young, I painted a Batman logo on the hood of my grandfather’s pickup (ahh, the good ol’ days of my puberty). Nothing beats driving around town with a pop-culture-inspired vehicle. Oye!

But these “car-modders” have taken it to the extreme.

Let’s check out what they made, shall we?

Create Your Own Daily Web Newspaper

Here’s a new, cool and interesting way to read the people you follow on Twitter.

>>> Create your own daily newspaper with paper.li as an example, here’s mine, The GM Tristan Daily

There are many cool features of this service. First, you get to see the top items of your Twitter feed formatted, newspaper-style. They’re also categorized. Media such as videos and photos are also grouped together for easy access. You can also choose how frequent to update it and it “self-promotes” the page via your Twitter. Is that awesome or what?!?

Hit that freakin’ blue SHARE button below dude! Thanks!

Facebook Share Button is Gone?

At first I thought that there was something wrong with my blog’s Facebook Share button. I tried to visit the code and reinstalled it, but still nothing happened.

Well, apparently after a bit of Googling, All Facebook Share Buttons for websites ARE GONE. Even Youtube doesn’t have it.

As of this writing, there is no comment nor official statement from Facebook. Will keep you guys posted.

Taking Your Blog or Website to the Next Level

Blogging is a great way to grow a business, promote your brand or product or share relevant news and information about your hobby. A lot of people blog for other reasons. I personally know some who actually do this for money. For me, don’t think about the money yet. If you dedicate enough time to your blog, slowly create original content, the money will come naturally.

After you’ve used free blog platforms such as Blogger or WordPress (which are hosted on their own sites) and have grown your user base a bit, you might consider investing in your own domain and finding the best web hosting for your new site.

April Fools Revisited

A lot has happened yesterday. Most people here in the office were wary about sudden e-mails, dubious plurk posts, blog posts and even status messages in YM or MSN.

Such is the nature of April Fools Day.

You really can’t trust anyone… otherwise, the joke’s on you. I started a seemingly innocent plurk post about my supposed negotiations for an Oz World (our first online game) movie or TV series. Hehehe. I think I got some people to believe it.

Meanwhile, most people placed “I’m resigning” in their YM status messages. Kinda dangerous coz ever since the global crisis, your joke could become reality. Oh well… after the break, I’ll show you what pranks top companies like Google, Yahoo or Microsoft did for April Fools.

Timewaster – Imagechan

Bored?

Head on over to Imagechan and get to browse through weird and funny images randomly. Below is a just a sample of what I recently stumbled upon.

Weird huh?

WHY is he smiling? Damnit! It’s a mystery… why would someone have his picture taken in front of a casket? Aptly, the title of this image is – creepy.

April Fools on the Web

Were you a victim last April 1? Apparently a lot netizens were. Here’s a collection of pranks pulled off by some websites during that wicked day.

I wasn’t prepared at all for doing an April Fools prank on my friends. Sigh. Aside from sticking some outrageous post-its at random people at the office, that was mostly it. That says a lot about my creativity. Oh well… I guess I can’t top the cool online pranks such as the betamax to HD-DVD converter from thinkgeek.com. Duh!

More April Fools after the jump…
