Search for Mr. and Ms. Ragnarok Valkyrie 2008 (pRO)

For me, I really believe that the real strength of an online game is not the graphics or the variations of gameplay. It’s the community that truly measures a game’s success. That’s why I’m really happy whenever there are community-generated events and activities such as Master Diwa’s group’s Search for Mr. and Ms. pRO Valkyrie 2008.

It reminded me of both the times I was doing community events even before I became GM Tristan and the things I started for the Filipino online gaming community. Props to Master Diwa and the denizens of Valkyrie for this initiative! Also, thanks for choosing me as one of the official judges for the event.

Hey! The RO team has just informed me that they already updated the Valkyrie Website.

Notable changes include new entries for the item mall, server changes, drop rates and more.

Butterfly Wing Vending at Valkyrie

If you live under a rock, you won’t know that teleport items such as Butterfly Wings or “Bwings” are illegal in Valkyrie, Philippine Ragnarok Online’s newest Free-to-Play (F2P) server.

But someone just e-mailed me an interesting screenshot.

Apparently, you can see in the photo below that a single butterfly wing is vending at 99M! Holy (*#&*(!@$!

Ragnarok Valkyrie Presscon

Woot! It’s a long weekend! Malacanang just announced a holiday today, Oct 12, 2007 in observance of the Muslim Ramadan.

Yesterday, we arranged a press conference for our media friends to tell them all about Valkyrie – Ragnarok’s newest Free to Play service. Valkyrie was launched last Wednesday, Oct 10.

The event was held at Friday’s, Bonifacio High Street, The Fort. Lunch.

Thanks to the efforts of my true “Valkyrie Angels”, Joie Borja and the lovely Gamer Babe Pam for organizing the event. Also, RO 1 ABM Rob Yatco and GM Lilith were there to lend their help and support. I’d also like to thank a Ragnarok “living legend” and my good friend, Master Diwa. He was there to show support and share a few words to the press. Thanks, idol!

GM Lilith even commissioned this great Valkyrie costume which was created in less than a week. Check it out!

Ragnarok Valkyrie Updates

Good morning Midgard!

So far so good!

Valkyrie is off to a good start. If you live under a rock, Valkyrie is Ragnarok Online’s NEW FREE TO PLAY SERVER and we here at Level Up just launched it yesterday – with amazing results!

Valkyrie Now Online

Valkyrie - Philippine Ragnarok Online’s Free-to-Play server is now up and running as of 6:30pm today. We’re having record numbers – more than the last 3 months!

From conception to reality, this project is more than 1 year in the making.

I just went inside the game. It’s been a while since I played RO (yup, too busy dudes) and it really is nostalgic to see all those novices in the training area. Trying to go through the “courses” to get novice gear and red pots.

The fields with the Fabres and Porings just outside the training castle is just crazy! There’s a gaggle of Novices all looking for parties and trying to level up.

 

If you still don’t have Valkyrie, go ahead and download it. You won’t regret it.

Meanwhile, I’d like to thank a lot of people who made this project a reality…

Valkyrie to go Live in a Few Hours

Everyone in the office here is excited about the launch of Valkyrie, Ragnarok’s latest Free-to-Play server today.

We are having an extended maintenance to test last minute settings and make sure that everything is all set for the big launch!

What’s supposed to be at 3pm may be extended for a few hours longer. First, I apologize for that. Apparently, Gravity is trying to put last minute “critical data” into the server.

I already told them and everyone in the Ragnarok team to expedite the process.

Ragnarok Valkyrie Server Settings (All You Need To Know)

Well, we all know that Valkyrie is FREE, right?

But I also told you that there’s going to be different server settings for Valkyrie. The Waukster, Rob, and the entire pRO team are busy at work coordinating with Gravity. Valkyrie launches this Wednesday na, October 10. Konting tulog na lang!!! The server will be 3X exp for the entire week after the launch!

Here’s a compilation of server settings from Wauk’s post.

Not all are 100% final. There might be changes. So the official stuff will be out at the Valkyrie website.

The official site is already launched. But we shall put in the other sections soon. This post will explain to you how to download Valkyrie and install it on your PC.
