With the tough rivalry between Rock Band and Guitar Hero, the folks at Harmonix and MTV are pulling all the stops to come up with something innovative. We’ve all seen something tied to Lego and actually worked – Star Wars, Harry Potter and Indiana Jones, to name a few.
Announcing – Lego Rock Band! The secret was short lived when some folks at GDC 2009 (Game Developers Conference 2009) had some photos on their slides.

No problemo. Test your chops in head to head battle with Guitar Heroes II&III. The only rule you have to pay attention to is, like any good rock god worth their salt, you gotta down a couple drinks before you make it to the mic. The more belligerent the better. Finally! Great news to all Wii and would-be Wii owners. Something worth looking forward to.
According to a report from FiringSquad, EA revealed that it has plans to release the famous Rock Band game for the Wii.
To quote that report; “EA company execs officially revealed plans for a Wii port of the Harmonix developed music game Rock Band. The game will be released in the first quarter of EA’s fiscal 2009 year which begins on April 1, 2008. No other info on the port was revealed.”

I have to admit, it was my first time to play Guitar Hero and it was a blast. It was so fun and addicting that I had to find a way to play it at home. I still don’t have an Xbox 360 yet but I am saving for it and have plans to buy it this year.
