Document Your NomNoms – Evernote Food App Review for the iOS

Now that I ditched my BB for the new iPhone 4S, I’m starting a new series of App Reviews. This is the first one.

If you’re the kind who always likes to share your food moments on Facebook (or your other social networks), Evernote’s Food app is for you. You can catalog and tag all your meals and it allows you to share them with a single touch. Plus, since it’s from Evernote, it automatically syncs with Evernote too. And yes, it’s a FREE app.

PlayStation Vita Video Review

Heavens, no! It’s not my review. In fact, I don’t own a PS Vita (well, not YET anyways).

We all know it was released before Christmas (Dec 17) in Japan and will be released in US around February. But some of my lucky, rich friends already have their units. Meanwhile, here’s IGN’s review of their units. Enjoy!

Unboxing the Apple iPhone 4S

Over the weekend, two days after the official release of the iPhone 4s (simul by Smart and Globe), I finally got mine. Here are unboxing photos. Not a full review. Since I’m up for retention on my Smart postpaid (Gold), I got the 4S for just P2,500 cash out. Here’s what’s inside the Smart box.

Blog Review: geekzkrieg.com

It’s been a while since I last did some blog reviews.

Here’s something refreshing and recommended – geekzkrieg.com, “the ultimate web magazine for geeks and dorks”.

Sounds like my kinda stuff. The guys at geekzkrieg got their act together with a clean layout and varied content. I’m sure that the site/blog will go places. I really liked how simple it is to find information. Although, their widget and plugins part needs some work.

Review: tabletopwars.com

As a token of my appreciation for giving gmtristan.com 3 free months of banner ad space, I am giving this review (worth $50 via reviewme.com) for tabletopwars.com gratis, of course.

The site, www.tabletopwars.com, focuses on promotion of the tabletop gaming hobby in the Philippines. It is independently owned by regular tabletop game hobbyists and is neutral or unbiased in treating all information posted in the website as long as available rules are strictly followed. TabletopWars.com will do its best to be “open” for everyone and to remove “elitism” as well as corporate control in all its endeavours.

Movie Review: Transformers

WARNING: If you haven’t seen the movie… READ NO FURTHER! (SPOILER)

I just watched the movie last night with my wife at Greenhills Promenade and all I can say is that it was great! I was blown away by the special effects and the mega-destruction fight scenes between machines vs. man vs. machines.

It’s a good thing that we Asians have an advance screening vs. those from the Americas. If you look at the official transformers site it now says “7.2.7″ from a “7.4.7″ date. Perhaps they can’t take any much more that we are getting to see it before they do.

Gadgets: The Chargepod

Imaging going to a summer outing… and of course, you plan to bring your gadgets with you – your iPod, your cellphone, your laptop, your PDA and maybe even your Nintendo DS or your PSP. Chances are, your backpack will be filled to the brim with unsightly (and unwieldy) strands of chargers.

Now, you can forget all that! Announcing the new Chargepod. It lets you use interchangeable power adapters to safely charge all of your mobile devices regardless of manufacturer or model.
