The Philippine Ragnarok Online team is very busy doing finishing touches in preparation of the launch of Dewata (that’s the correct spelling, guys!), a new Indonesian-themed map to be released into the commercial servers very, very soon.
Dewata is just one of Gravity’s projects to make “localized” maps and content for all their publishers. And yes, our very own, the Philippines is also in the works *wink*.

The “Simbang Gabi” or ‘Mass at Dawn’ is a true Pinoy Christmas tradition, it’s a nine-day novena to the Blessed Mother. The novena begins December 16 as early as 4 in the morning and culminates with the “Misa de Gallo” on Christmas Eve to welcome the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.
To celebrate this, we also have an online Simbang Gabi in Ragnarok. Know the big church in Prontera, that’s where the event happens.
It’s official! The most highly anticipated update for pRO will be online on Oct. 13, 2010.
Episode 22, Renewal debuts the release of the new 3rd Jobs. Brace yourself for a whole new Ragnarok experience as the country’s first and biggest MMORPG gets even better.
Just came back last night from Jakarta with the Philippine Team (Naked Babies), RO Brand Manager and Group A Marketing Head, Roy Inciong and Level Up! General Manager Jake San Diego.
We got the 3rd place after defeating Taiwan. 2009 defending champion, Japan (who also defeated us last year in the 2009 RWC Finals in Yokohama) won 2-1 in our semi-finals match to get the honor to face RO PVP “legends” Thailand for the all the marbles. Thailand took the crown after defeating Japan 3 to 1.

Just concluded the Welcome dinner and I personally drew the place of Team Philippines for the match pairings. Looks good so far. The only drawback is that we’re up against Brazil… also from Level Up! Sigh.
But it looks like the powerhouse teams are away from our bracket. Japan and Korea will slug it out on day 1 while 3-time RWC champion, Thailand will have China as its assignment. If we win the first two matches, it’s very likely that we’ll meet the winner of the Japan and Korea match for the semis. Will update you guys more later with photos and other details.

October 1, 2010. JAKARTA, Indonesia. Our second day here to attend RWC 2010 with Team Naked (Philippines), GM Shiro (RO Brand Manager and Group Head for Marketing) and bossing Jake San Diego (Level Up! PH General Manager).
It’s still “free time” for us. No official functions until dinner time. So, I asked GM Shiro to round up the kids to have breakfast and off we went to some tourist spots near our hotel.
Just to assure everyone. We’re currently busy at work testing and finalizing stuff for the launch of the highly anticipated Ragnarok Renewal patch. This patch has the “3rd jobs” or Renewal jobs.
This is the biggest patch for pRO to date and we’re all excited. Here’s the video showing what the different job classes can do.
Two words… MALAPIT NA!
