Went out around 1:45am today to catch a glimpse of the Super Moon, towed my DSLR, tripod, the works.
Too bad it was damn cloudy outside. I tried to get shots when the moon would glimpse through the clouds. Here’s the best I can do.

Blog is backkkk! After some time to pause for the migration…
Apologies for not posting often due to that. Anyways, let’s get the ball rolling with these casual and wacky shots of my new Star Wars stormtrooper action figs which arrived via Ebay recently.
There are a lot of fun, wild photos of stormtroopers online; there’s one in Facebook and a couple in Flickr too here and here.

Time Traveler Caught On Camera?

Take a look at the photo above. This was taken in 1940 during the Reopening of the South Fork Bridge in the US of A.
Do you spot the suspicious time-traveling man? He appears to be wearing modern shades, a printed shirt and is holding what appears to be DSLR? No, this image was not photoshopped and appears in the Bralone Museum.

Photography: The Moon and Eclipses

One of the many surprises of my photography hobby was taking this picture of the moon (above). Although a lot claimed it to be their own, I still have friends and supporters who rallied for that. Thanks so much.
Anyways, I’m gonna share with you some tips from Digital Photography School on how to photograph the moon with your DSLR.

ThinkTank Sling-O-Matic Camera Bag

I currently have an old sling bag for my DSLR. But a couple of months and some lens purchases and I think I need to upgrade the bag.
Here’s a great sling bag from ThinkTank. What’s great about this bag is that you can reverse the shoulder strap. My old sling bag can only be used on the left shoulder. Often, when I use my right shoulder, it slips and tends to slide. Check out more photos and a video review from a pro after the break.
Zombiethon 2010 Event Coverage

Last Saturday, Oct 30, 2010, I was invited by my new friend Sam Vigilia to attend Zombiethon 2010, the first major zombie walk for the Philippines. Always a Zombie lover, I obliged the invite and rushed to document the event. Too bad the bar where we were supposed to cap the event closed down. Oh well, the Zombie walk will still push through. Around 20 or so zombies showed up for the event, and we had an awesome night.
We walked the stretch of Timog, QC and scared the hell out of motorists. We had a blast!

It’s been a while since I got out and did a Photo-shoot. In order to “scratch the itch”, so to speak, I got my niece’s creepy, baby doll and decided to prop it up on my home studio and set up some candles in the background.
I was inspired after watching Toy Story 3 (sue me… I just got a copy!) and of course, the coming Halloween season.
