That’s right. In a recent survey, a staggering 1 out 3 British men said that they’d rather play a game launch rather than shag. 72% of them say that they love playing video games more. Sigh.

April Fools Revisited

A lot has happened yesterday. Most people here in the office were wary about sudden e-mails, dubious plurk posts, blog posts and even status messages in YM or MSN.
Such is the nature of April Fools Day.
You really can’t trust anyone… otherwise, the joke’s on you. I started a seemingly innocent plurk post about my supposed negotiations for an Oz World (our first online game) movie or TV series. Hehehe. I think I got some people to believe it.
Meanwhile, most people placed “I’m resigning” in their YM status messages. Kinda dangerous coz ever since the global crisis, your joke could become reality. Oh well… after the break, I’ll show you what pranks top companies like Google, Yahoo or Microsoft did for April Fools.

The Rock Says Doom Movie Was A Failure

Pro Wrestler-turned-action-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson admits that the Doom movie was a failure.
In an interview at MTV, the lead actor of Doom said that the movie was “trying and failing” at making the jump from video game to movie. Johnson also said that “writing and material” just wasn’t right. In short, Doom (the movie) was a classic example of how not to do a video-game adaptation.

MS-06J Zaku II MG Gundam Project

This is now my 3rd Gundam model kit project, after the first China one and the MG Destiny.
Anyways, I’d like to take you through the progress and build process of how I assembled and painted this kit. I got this Zaku from FS Brand Manager Hector Sagrado who’s also a Gundam model kit builder (and toy addict) and displays some of the kits he’s done at his blog

Are you being bullied at school?
Here’s a heart-warming story about a kid who thanked his videogame knowledge and “converted” the guy bullying him into a friend. He said “I kept meeting new people through the common connection of videogames and eventually began to get recognized more in school. I also noticed that I wasn’t as afraid of stepping outside of my social circle as I used to be. With the friends I made through gaming I started to branch out, taking what I’d learned by making friends through gaming and started meeting new people through other shared interests.”
