Check out this Indian made action flick. It’s called Endhiran. It’s about a robot/AI that goes rouge. I heard that it’s the most expensive Indian movie ever made, and basing it by the CG, I bet it is. This will put all the other action scenes/movies you already saw to shame!
Oh, did I mention that it also stars Aishwarya Rai? She’s so hot in this film!
Highly recommended that you see this movie.
Movie Shot Entirely With A Cellphone

You won’t believe that the movie above (in 720P HD) is shot ENTIRELY with a Nokia N8.
Give that phone (or maybe any other HD cam phone) to a professional and they can do wonders.
Makes me want to experiment with a couple of short films using my iPod 4th gen. Enjoy the video and don’t forget to share.
Movies – 2012

Last weekend, me and the family had a blast when we watched 2012 on the big screen.
It’s a great movie! This beats all the other disaster movies combined. I won’t spoil it for you, you gotta see it in the theater. For a glimpse of things to come, check out the trailer above. I hope we really learn to love the environment… all this talk about global warming, makes me uneasy. Do your share.
Don’t miss it. Highly recommended!

Hitman The Movie

The latest “game to film” adaptation, Hitman is set to be released to the big screen this November 21.
In Hitman the movie, our anti-hero, Agent 47 is an international assassin who works for a group known only as “The Agency”.
Hitman the movie stars Timothy Olyphant. You will probably remember him as Thomas Gabriel and co-stars alongside Bruce Willis in Live Free and Die Hard (2007).
The teaser trailer shows very little. There are mixed reactions from both gamer and non-gamer critics

Video: Iron Man the Movie Trailer

One of the most anticipated Hero-to-Film flick is Iron Man.
The movie stars Robert Downey Jr. as Billionaire Tony Stark. At first I wasn’t convinced that he’d do justice to the role. But after seeing the trailer, I’m a true believer now.
In the movie, Stark does not don the famous “gold and red” suit of armor at first. He looks like a dork under a diver’s suit, the first armor that he makes. Am certain that this gets ripped to shreds and he finally designs the classic Iron Man armor.
Well, enough talk… let’s see the trailer shall we?
Ragnarok 2 CG Movie Trailer

If you’ve already seen the Level Up edited version of the RO2 video at the official LU youtube channel, then you gotta feast your eyes on this video below.
It’s a CGI movie intro/trailer for Ragnarok 2, the Gate of the World.
Quite “FF-ish”, if I may say so myself.
But I’ll leave you to be the judge of that.
Video: Beowulf CGI Movie

When was the last time you saw a great CG movie?
Well, for me it was Final Fantasy Advent Children.
But that’s peanuts compared to the quality of the film you’re set to see below. Entitled Beowulf, which is an adaptation of the epic Anglo-Saxon poem about the legendary hero and his quest to slay Grendel – a mythical beast (and ultimately, Grendel’s mother). I do recall a 1999 version of a Beowulf movie. But I only remember it because Rhona Mitra was there. Rawwr!

The Level Up Filmfest Video-making Contest

Last year’s filmfest was a good one. The winning entry was made by Noratu, a pROSE player. Hopefully, this year we’ll have more entries by him and perhaps by others wishing to sweep the rug below his throne.
At any rate, if you’ve read some of the annoucncements at some of the game sites, there are some old versions of the Filmfest mechanics. There, you need to send a CD. I ordered that taken away. Now, to join the filmfest, all you gotta do is make your short film and then post it at youtube, yahoo video or even google video.
