After arduous months of preparation, a series of national regional tours for 8 games, thousands of participants and a grueling 2 day setup, all the hard work and teamwork will ultimately be realized in only 2 days… all roads will lead to the World Trade Center as we, Level Up, give the Pinoy gamers the biggest and best gaming event yet – Level Up LIVE 2009: United We Play.
Traditionally, the Early Bird “pila” outside WTC is a festive gathering of gamers, guildmates and friends. This year, it’s the first time ever that some gamers (from RF Online) were there as early as Thursday!
I went out on Friday night (Nov 6) to check on the gamers at the line… enjoy the vid.
Setup for LIVE 2009, gaming’s biggest event, began yesterday. It’s exciting to see all the usual folks, the suppliers, the agency, the guild booth owners and even early birds as early as yesterday. Yes! Thursday afternoon.
I got to chat with around 5 of the early birds last night and they wouldn’t budge. They’re excited about their first LIVE and they came from Batangas pa daw. They’re RF players btw! Woot!
It’s the final stretch for this year’s LIVE, everyone’s probably wondering where to find the information to “survive” this year’s BIGGEST ONLINE GAMING EVENT.

Level Up!, the Philippines’ leading online game publisher, has just announced that it has acquired a First Person Shooter (FPS) online game, the name of which, as well as the developer, remains undisclosed at the moment.
Powered by Valve’s Source engine, a system used in popular and well-received FPS games such as Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike, this new online game promises to give even the most seasoned virtual combatants an explosive experience. Its dynamic light and shadow effects and realistic textures create the most believable characters.
Thanks to the creative talents of LU peeps from the Creatives/Marketing Services department, you can now listen to the new LIVE 2009 Radio Commercial.
Led by MS Manager Dana Tan, the talents in this RC are all from Level Up. Neat huh? Congrats for a job well done!

Yesterday, I just flew back from Cebu from the wild and successful Visayas leg of the LIVE 2009 Regional tour. I promised to post some updates and pics, but allow me to catch up first and blog about the Baguio leg first, our Luzon kick-off of the LIVE 2009 Regional tournaments for all major Level Up games. This is way overdue… am so busy.
Me and the rest of the LU GMs went up to Baguio last June 13 and 14 for 2 days of intense PVP and tournament action. The Level Up site already announced the highlights and the official list of winners.

Am here at Park Mall Cebu (arrived here Thursday morning) together with the entire LU GM crew for the Visayas leg of LIVE 2009 Regionals. I’m just using one of the terminals… too bad, I won’t be able to upload any pics today but I’ll do my best to post ‘em later ASAP.
