The Ultimate FPS Surround Experience

I thought that big-ass monitors that almost surround the player was the best 3D FPS experience. Well… I’m about to be proven wrong. The gun (above) was launched at the recent Quake Con by a company called Macrovision.

Touted as the Tuatara, it has all the controls on the gun and it will project the game on any wall. Move the gun up and you can see the sky, move it left and… you get what I mean.

Watch the video… it’s better than my words! Peace!

Nintendo DS and Mario Kart Saved This Kid’s Eyesight

Prime Time for Gaming

Anyone who’s into the marketing profession knows that primetime “spots” in TV are the most expensive (and most coveted) blocks. This is simply because there are more eyes glued to the boob-tube hence your ad/communication has more chances of being watched thereby giving you more bang for the buck.

But for someone in the gaming profession, is there such a thing as prime time for video games? I often asked myself this question. Good thing this recent study surfaced and proved to be helpful…

Happy 10th Birthday, PS2

I’ve had so many fond memories of gaming with the PS2. I was awed when first pressed the X button to load Final Fantasy, had so much fun with games such as Metal Gear, God of War; played the best versions of Tekken… and was scared shitless with PS2 versions of games such as Silent Hill and Resident Evil…. there are a thousand ways that, as a gamer, am thankful for owning a PS 2.

So, without further ado, allow me to bid one of my favorite consoles, the PlayStation 2, a huge HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY!

And hey, I think console sales of 135million units is a nice achievement yes (with over 1,800 titles developed for it to boot). And don’t discount it dying anytime soon… there’s still around 40,000 units being sold annually and game developers for the PS2 have not thrown in the towel… just yet. And yes, my PS2 is still working like it just came out of the factory.

Join in me in giving the PS2 our birthday greetings by commenting below…
