How long have you played your current MMORPG? I started playing RO last October 2010. :3

What type of work do you do? I am currently an incoming freshman college student

How long is your typical gaming session when playing your current MMORPG? Usually 3-5 hours. But on weekends or when my aunt is not around, I play for the whole day. >;) /gg

What does a typical day consist of for you? Well, I’d usually wake up at 10am, attend to my needs, take a bath and dress up, turn on the PC and eat Brunch at the same time. XD

What was the race and profession of your very first character? My very first character was a dancer from the archer class named LadyNami. Eventually, I made another new character which was a Guillotine Cross. But in the end, I changed my main character again into a Shadow Chaser. :3

What is your highest character level in your current MMORPG? My highest character level so far is my main, Lady Mitsuru, which is 134.

What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? I am really addicted to gaming since I was a kid. I used to play Pokemon on my Game Boy when I was in 4th grade. I really got hooked into gaming, especially RPGs, because it’s like I’m in another dimension or something, doing quests and adventures, that sort of stuff.  The type of game I like the most is RPGs, thus, having Ragnarok as my favorite game. B)

What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing your current MMORPG or video games? Well, I usually post music videos of me on YouTube, singing and playing the guitar. I also compose songs and other lit. stuff when I’m in the mood. I also do cosplay. :3

What do you like the most about the profession you have chosen for your main character? What I like the most is that my main character is kinda versatile. I could copy skills via the Intimidate/Preserve skill and the Reproduce skill. It’s also cool to have the Shadow Formation skill because I could reflect the damage that was meant for me to an opponent. B) /gg

How did you choose your main character’s name? Hm. In making characters in RO, I always add the name “Lady”, from my screen name “Lady Jenx”, which I always use when introducing myself in my videos in YouTube. Then I got the name “Mitsuru” from a friend when I couldn’t come up with a name that would suit with “Lady”.

What do you like best about your Current MMORPG? What I like the best about my current game is that I gained and could gain trustworthy friends. Impossible but true, I also learned real-life lessons from them, such as school problems, and other teenage stuff. I also get the opportunity to interact with other people, and to trash talk *smirks* JUST KIDDING! Bad ‘yun. >;) XDXDXD

What do you get out of playing games? Well, I usually get reputation from other people, and exposure as well (via my music videos). I also became a better person, for in a game, although virtual, we still have to be civilized, right? ^-^

Tell us of a significant “gaming or MMORPG blooper” (funniest moment) that you were directly involved in? HAHA! When I was false warped to another place during our WoE, I really panicked and got pissed off because my character was trapped. Good thing our GM ECed us, so yeah, I was safe in the end. I also tend to just barge in our opponents’ agit and use my spam Fire Trap skill to my opponents without a care in the world, endlessly clicking my mastela/ESB whites. A milli-second after, I’d find my character respawned to Alberta inn. Well, the process just repeats again and again. So if you were my guild mate, you’d see me go on and off in your chat box. XD

What’s the most unforgettable thing that happened to you as a gamer? Probably the most unforgettable thing that happened to me was when my first main character (LadySlumber) got hacked last December. I was like, “What to do?” “Oh gosh, I don’t wanna believe this”. It was really a shock for me to have that account hacked, moreover, I had two characters there which were fully equipped, so I was really down. Fortunately, I had my guild mates there for me at that time. They supported me even though I really wasn’t game in accepting donations. @.@

What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? I didn’t actually online games. But when I went back to the Philippines for college my friend asked me to pilot one of his characters then I kind of enjoyed playing it. When I decided to play RO, he gave that character to me. Then gave me equipment and supplies, taught me the basic stuff in game and I eventually I started to love playing RO.
I also like PC games such as Sim simulation games and monopoly.

What does a typical day consist of for you? This past few days: School – Home OR School – Gala/Alis – Home. Saturday is friends day.

What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? Actually, I was a hater of Ragnarok and KOJ hates me that time because my ex (which happened to be one of the GM of KOJ) is like “Ragnarok or GF” type, so as a typical GF I am always ranting about his RO and make him chose RO or Ako. Haha! But things eventually change; to lessen our arguments, I started to play RO when I met his guild mates. They need High wizard in their woe that time and gave me an account to pilot. So the basic role was to “SG” or Storm Gust. And they teased me that I should make my own account and character.
2009, Sakray server, it’s Agit Lords season. That’s my first server! HAHAHAHA!! Then after battling at Sakray, my ex made me my own account and character.
My very first account was hacked so I decided to make another one and the rest is history 
What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing your current MMORPG or video games? Became the muse of KOJ last RWC finals @ A.Venue, one of the cast in Ragnarok Online ROK Story shown last November @ WTC (LU Filmfest),
What do you like the most about the profession you have chosen for your main character? The ability to freeze foes. Ang kulit kase pag yelo lahat! Hahaha! And the skill of WL: White Imprisonment. Pang-asar yun eh. Haha!
How did you choose your main character’s name? KOJ – well, it’s my first guild. Nicaanix – both are my nick names.
What do you like best about Current MMORPG? I earn friends!!  And the “bakbakan” during siege time  and the trash talks. Hahahaha!
Tell us of a significant “gaming or MMORPG blooper” (funniest moment) that you were directly involved in? GM Mai commanded our party to get the LL agit at Alde. Last minute na yun eh, so we need to hurry-up. In our savepoint, I entered a warp because someone said that it’s LL.
When I entered the agit portal, I found out that I am at the wrong agit! Turned out it’s LR. Nakipag away pa ko sa guildmates ko na LL yun ndi LR. Tapos hinahanap na ko ng party-mates ko. Naligaw ako eh. Hahaha =))
Lesson: Tandaan bawat agit!!
What’s the most unforgettable thing that happened to you as a gamer? It’s actually my first time to attend an “EB” in my whole life when I started to play RO and gained a lot of friends. READ: A LOT!

This is THE future of gaming, folks.

What you’re looking at is the The Emotiv EPOC headset – the first Brain Computer Interface (BCI) device. And the company that has developed it claims that they have made breakthroughs in thought control.

According to a news report by CNN, “The EPOC detects and processes real time brain activity patterns (small voltage changes in the brain caused by the firing of neurons) using a device that measures electric activity in the brain. In total, it picks up over 30 different expressions, emotions and actions.”

Meanwhile, Tan Le, President and co-founder of Emotiv Systems said that “Being able to control a computer with your mind is the ultimate quest of human-machine interaction. When integrated into games, virtual worlds and other simulated environments, this technology will have a profound impact on the user’s experience”.

Maybe so. But I’ve seen the clunky attempts at putting 3D or “big screens” into glasses and I’m not impressed. But the EPOC may be scratching at the boundaries of science fiction.

Perhaps it’s a little too early to let our minds do the playing.

I still prefer the mouse and keyboard (or d-pad) any time of day.

Since I was a kid, I love playing  computer games (the super Mario series hehe) then out came Playstation, I started playing RPGs like Suikoden I and II,  Breathe of Fire series, Harvest Moon */heh*, Legend of Mana, etc. When I was in 2nd year high school, my friends and I used to go to internet cafes only to chat online using ym. Then I saw this poster of Ragnarok online, the cute characters got me very interested to try it out…haha I got hooked! XD

GM T: What online games do you play? Why do you like it?
Ragnarok, Crazykart, Flyff, Rose. Actually, I think I’ve tried almost all online games but what I love most is Ragnarok Online which I have been playing since late 2nd year H.S. up to present. I also love Crazykart coz it’s like my fave PS game Crash Team Racing…*heh*

GM T: What’s the best reason that you got into MMORPGs?
Cute Characters!! Meeting friends and all sorts of people not only online but in real life as well. Team spirit, fighting side by side with your friends.

GM T: What do your non-gamer female friends tell you when they find out that you game?
Hahaha they find me weird sometimes, especially when I talk about the games I play, they say It’s like I’m from another planet. *laugh*

GM T: What’s your most unforgettable moment ingame?
Hmm probably my first heartbreak hahaha some may find it funny but I cried hard when I saw my Ragnarok husband with another girl, he denied me then told me I’m a chixi. Hahaha…

Go GirL! Gaming won’t make you less girly. Hehe works as an advantage actually, they may say I’m one of the boys but gamer girls definitely rocks!

Marissa: I love playing online games and surfing the Internet for the latest clothes and make-up. I actually have bought a lot of items from people selling stuff on Multiply. My latest obsession is my pink Nintendo DS where I play Brain Age, Nintendogs, Pokemon Diamond and Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings.

However, I can also be a girly-girl because I love shopping for clothes, shoes, bags and make-up. I’m also happily married and we recently celebrated our 1 year anniversary.
GM T: How did you get into gaming and online gaming?
Marissa: I’ve been playing computer games for quite some time and I started on the SNES. I’ve always liked the RPG type of games and I am especially dedicated to Squaresoft and the Final Fantasy series. I started online games when my friend got me into the closed beta of Khan.

GM T: What online games do you play? Why do you like it?
Marissa: I play Perfect World. What I really liked about PW is that you can customize your character’s face and body to make it look exactly like you. There are also clothes you buy from the item mall to dress up your character. Best of all, it is free to play!

GM T: What’s the best reason that you got into MMORPGs?
Marissa: I guess it is the fact that you can build up your character any way you want. It is also great playing with real people from different walks of life and the teamwork that goes into guild activities.

GM T: What do your non-gamer female friends tell you when they find out that you game?
Marissa: Hahahaha! They’re actually used to it. It’s like a quirk in our barkada.

GM T: What’s your most unforgettable moment ingame?
Marissa: I guess my most unforgettable moment in-game was the first time I participated in a massive PVP siege. The adrenaline you get when you and your friends fight other people online is incredible. It really builds up your competitive spirit and you don’t notice how long you’ve been playing.

Marissa: There are so many games out there that there is sure to be something you’ll like. If you’re into puzzles, casual gaming or hard core MMORPGs you will definitely find something.

The first Gamer Babe of 2007 2008. And boy, am I proud to have been graced by another true-blooded girl gamer.

Smart femme gamer who like roles playing MMOs and the idea of gaming as a community.
GM T: How did you get into gaming and online gaming?

First started playing Legend of Mir but then moved to Dark Age of Camelot, about 7 years ago. Cathula and I formed an all girl guild called “Femmes Fatales”.

GM T: What online games do you play? Why do you like it?

DAOC because of uber realm versus realm, and the three realm dynamic. I have also played Lineage 2, WoW, Guild Wars and LoTR.

GM T: What’s the best reason that you got into MMORPGs?

Virtual fantasy and community.

GM T: What do your non-gamer female friends tell you when they find out that you game?

They are mainly curious but think its crazy when they hear that people buy on-line virtual cash.

GM T: What’s your most unforgettable moment ingame?

Capturing the Hibernian relic late one night in an organized raid from Albion. Getting my epic gear for the first time at level 50.

GM T: Do you have any advice or tips for girls out there who want to try gaming?

Yes try and develop a positive image of female gamers, reject derogatory names likes “girl chicks” and “hotties”. Preferably try joining a female role playing clan, such as Femmes Fatales.
