Laoag: Level Up Game Day at the Northern Gateway

I, together with the RF Online and Perfect World teams, went to Laoag, Ilocos Norte last Friday, Feb 15 for an official event scheduled for Saturday, Feb 16. This is in line with their annual Pamulinawen week-long festival.

The 11-hour land trip began at the LU HQ at noon of Friday. I was with RF Brand Manager Keith Morales, RF CM Cydie, RF GM Janrey, the lovely and ever-dependable Joie B – Level Up Events Manager and PW Community Manager Erick Ureta. We arrived there at around midnight just in time to check-in, have last minute checklists and some idle banter.

It’s my first time here at Laoag. Aside from managing and running the RF skirmish event and the Perfect World “Perfect Match” contest, I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting the warm and kind players of this city and its equally hospitable inhabitants. Me and the Level Up team had a blast and I’m sure Laoag won’t be seeing the last of us and our games.

Contest: gmtristan.com Group Writing Project

At long last, I finally finished the mechanics of the Gaming Group Writing Project/Contest and I’m really excited to get the first few entries and to read up on them. I’ve already explained the goal of this project in a previous post.

We’re starting the contest officially today, Aug 13.  As an overview, this will run for 6 weeks. Do check out the complete mechanics after the jump.

Perfect World Launch Event Photo Essay

Yesterday was the launch event for Perfect World at the SM Megamall. Toni Gonzaga was the surprise guest. Too bad I came in late for the event and didn’t catch her sing the theme song for our game. Drats! I was semi-drunk Friday night since I came home around 4am from the collaborative birthday party of Waukeen and other LU employees. The party was at the Waukster’s pad.

RF Online BTA Event at Robinsons

Just like I promised, I headed on over to Robinson’s Galerria yesterday at around 3pm to help the guys (and do a photo coverage) in the RF Online Boss Time Attack.

The event area (where the fountain is) at the Robinson’s Galerria mall was jam-packed with RF players and teams who were out to compete for the BTA. Also, a lot of Novus Citizens (who got themselves a LOT of raffle tickets) awaited the grand winner of the major raffle. The lucky dude got to take home a set of Perfect Elementals (lucky guy!).

Event: RF BTA at Robinson’s Galleria

Attention Citizens of Novus!

I’ll be joining the RF Team with GM Gaia (The RF Community Manager) at the Robinson’s Galleria tomorrow, Saturday, July 21, 2007!

There we’ll be having one of the biggest Boss Time Attack (time trial boss kill party tournament) competitions yet. Lots of prizes are at stake. We are approaching the tail end of our mall tour that we partnered with Robinson’s of course.

All players are invited to participate in the Boss Time Attack Challenge. You can also join the first ever Kartellan Lottery and get a chance to be the lucky winner of a Perfect Elemental Accessory (Whoa!!!). Representatives of the RF Online team will be there to answer questions about the coming Episode 2 Patch “Pioneers of Novus” as well as showcase video highlights of the official and confirmed Episode 2 patch features.
