During Blizzcon last weekend, the hot news item was the announcement of a Wizard class in Diablo 3. The Wizard joins the 2 other confirmed classes; the Barbarian and the Witch Doctor which we all saw in the in-game trailer for Diablo 3.
The Wizard, according to the official site has the powers of Disintegrate, Electrocute, Teleport, Magic Missile and Slow Time.
When Blizzard unleashed one of the industry’s best kept secrets – Diablo 3, the gaming community and the web were awash with speculations on gameplay, character classes and even lore. The hype for one of the most anticipated launches in gaming history has begun… score one for Blizzard yet again.
When they featured the Kratos-look-alike Barbarian and then the awesome Witch Doctor, a lot of Diablo fans wondered what the new Necromancer would look like.
Hate to rain on your parade, folks. But Blizzard said that ONLY the Barbarian will make a comeback among the original Diablo bunch of characters…
When game leader Blizzard puts together a show, it’s a spectacle to behold. The Blizzard Worldwide Invitational 2008, held in Paris last weekend, was one awesome event!
That’s where they announced Diablo 3, my bosses, Ben “Gameboss” Colayco, Level Up international COO and Phil Cahiwat, Level Up international content director were there to witness everything. Wish I was with them. Anyways, it was a grand Blizzard party filled with talks, game demos, tournaments, cosplay and shops.
