RPC 2007 Quarterfinals Guide

The quarterfinals for the Ragnarok Philippine Championships is fast approaching. Due to some delays and extension in both the agit lord series and the Wild Card, we’re forced to move the server championships. GM WinterTsuki will be adjusting the schedules and announcing it soon. She’s collecting all the submissions of the lineups of the guilds and teams. We’ve already sent them a tournament kit with all the rules and mechanics.

This post is a refresher on the mechanics and system about how we’re going to do the server elims and then on to the quarterfinals. I’ll start with the basic definitions of terms and then a summary of the tournament proceedings.

QUARTERFINALS

Quarterfinals will be the top 8 and will be composed of the following 8 teams.

• RWC Champion
• Ultimate Wild Card
• Baldur Server Champion
• Tyr Server Champion
• Freya Server Champion
• Thor Server Champion
• Urdr Server Champion
• Sakray Server Champion

The RWC Champion and the ultimate wild card are already determined and are awaiting the culmination of the server championships. The top 8 will fight online, their characters to be “Xeroxed” or ported to the Sakray test server where they will fight.

SERVER CHAMPIONSHIPS

Of course, before they go to the top 8, the server championships will be fought over the following server top-scorers.

• Top 4 Agit Lords
• Top 4 Wild card

The Agit lords is already finished while we already announced the winners of the Wild Card. Like the quarterfinals, they will fight using a step-ladder, best-of-three format in the Sakray test server. The complete mechanics and character limitations will be posted soon.

Once the Top 8 are determined, they will fight until only TWO REMAIN.

The last two teams will be flown to Level Up LIVE FINALS EVENT in November 3 and 4, 2007 at the World Trade Center.

    Saka, bat naman mga Thai’s ung kukunin para sa 1 slot sa RPC FInals? Pde bang ung mg RPC 2OO6 champs na lang? IMO, mas legit kc cla.
