In this update to Rohan Online, I’d like to take you to the places I’ve been during my hands-on testing.

The world of Rohan is huge… and I mean HUGE! Good thing there are cool mounts that you can use to go around the different kingdoms, cities, wilderness and dungeons. According to the official Rohan International site; “The center of the continent is a comfortable warm-climate region made of low mountains and flatlands. Primarily composed of rough mountainous terrain and polar climate, northern continent is difficult to pioneer. Proceeding south of the continent along Rai’ner River, land is divided east and west as vast lowlands unfold. The large island created by volcanic activity in the north has high subterranean heat with magma still curdling in some spots. As such, the northern region has relatively high temperatures.”

Currently, Human territory is located in west central Rohan Continent, with Elves in the south and territory of Half Elves, conceived between the two races, located in the eastern central region. The northern island is inhabited by renegade groups Dhans, a race of assassins, and Dekans.

Here are some of the few places I’ve been to.

Vena

The home of the Elves, Vena is a majestic city of canals and elfin architecture. Everything is serene, pretty and “curvy”, truly a testament to the Elves’ appreciation of beauty. The city of Vena is capped by a great castle to the south of the merchant shops.

Kai’non

This is the city of the Half-Elves, the rangers and archers in the continent of Rohan. Unlike the stone structures of Vena, much of the city is really within a forest. Most of the architecture is by-design, tree-like and natural. You may see some Christmas decorations in the city since the game recently had a Christmas patch. Really cool!

Dungeons

This is inside the mines just north of Montt, the city of the Dark Elves. This is a good leveling spot for newbies (level 10 to 20) and there’s even a boss that can be killed if you hit level 30. The Rigals, a race of evil, midget miners, inhabit this desolate dungeon.

Once you hit level 20++, it’s time to PL (Power Level) your characters, the good monsters for this would be Blood Souls, a staple in Ahkma Cave, a favorite leveling spot. Since there a LOT of players in Ahkma, I’ve discovered my own personal Blood Soul lair south of Vena, in the Loauke Monestary. Check it out.

The Wilderness

Traveling around Rohan is breath-taking. Even if the quests and dungeons are far, you will be amazed by how much detail they put into the environment. From detailed rock formations, trees, sunlight effects, everything is picture-perfect. Going through the realms is like taking a pleasant trip in a fantasy land closely mimicking the realities of our own great outdoors. Lots of sights to behold! Here you can see my Dekan with my Dragon-mount going through the lush forests on the way to one of my quests.
