Please allow me to reprint the official statement regarding the AnL incident. All decisions were based upon the evidence and after careful study of the facts of the case AND hearing both sides of the issue, both the camps of the community and AnL were heard. Every claim beyond the evidence is mere hearsay.
Now, I think it would be unfair to call us “bobo” or “walang utak”. Call it what you will. The decision has been made and it will STAND. It is really sad to note that the problem with the pRO community is that is NEVER satisfied with whatever decision we or the GMs come up with.
I dare you to name something that made EVERYONE happy. See? None. Nada. Nil. Give a hand and they would want your arm.
This kind of attitude often stresses the pRO team. But we take it all BECAUSE WE WANT TO SERVE YOU. Also, me and the others have always said that pRO is a game but it is also a business. Our job is to make “reasonable profit”. If you think that we are forcing you to cough up money, NOTHING HERE IS COMPULSARY. It’s YOUR choice. The fact is, we LOVE the game and everyone in the team is passionate about it. Our job is to serve you as our customers. But we are also here as upholders of the law and the game policies when it comes to violations and tournaments.
Sorry for being carried away. But I think that we have made ourselves clear. I’m sure I’ll still get comments here like the old one. That’s part of the job, I guess.
OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Citizens of Midgard and to all participants of RPC 2007,
After a thorough review and investigation of the facts and merits of the case, the RPC 2007 tournament committee has come up with the following decision.
But allow us first to state the facts of the case.
- Sometime early September, we have monitored discussions on the forums and from players about a supposed cheat exploit by the Armed N Loaded guild of Baldur. Due to bug, they can do a double “Emergency Call”, something which greatly gives them an undue advantage from other participants of the RPC 2007 Agit Lords series.
- We have received formal complaints from other guilds and leaders in Baldur and we have also received screenshots dated September 4, 2007.
- After investigation of the case, we even had a dialogue with representatives of AnL. They came to our head office for discussions and so that we can hear their side. The tournament committee requested a formal letter for them to defend themselves and explain why we should not sanction their Agit Lords points (they are currently 4th in Baldur). They submitted this letter to us September 14, 2007 (today).
- AnL of Baldur informed us that they are NOT officially affiliated with AnL of Tyr.
- Here are the points of contention
-
- That they submitted a ticket (ticket number 8AC9E dated 25/05/07 01:25 AM) supposedly reporting a guild bug – Although they indeed submitted a ticket, the request was for a change name (which we did) but they deliberately WITHELD INFORMATION about the double EC exploit.
- That ticket even asked them to submit information. They did not do this hence the delays in the processing of that fix.
As such, the official tournament committee has decided the following ruling WITH FINALITY:
- That ALL AGIT POINTS of Armed n Loaded for Baldur (under Jamscogan) starting September 4 (the date of the screenshot) will be NULLIFIED.
- Their Guildmaster, jamscogan_LO00 will be banned for the following offense:
“Attempting to deceive any Levelup Personnel “ As per our game policy http://ragnarok.levelupgames.ph/penalties.php
3. Character names m!m!z, Mimiz22_LO00 and jamscogan will also be banned for exploiting the bugs.
As such AnL will have no access to their guild’s EC in tomorrow’s final Agit Lord siege.
This is decision is final and for implementation. The pRO GMs/Vanguards will be closely monitoring the last Agit Lord siege in Baldur tomorrow.
Please note that we have heard all sides of the issue, all parties concerned and investigated all facts, documents, evidence and points of this case. We believe that the decision shall be fair to all concerned.
You may discuss this in the ragnaboards but no whining, complaints or flaming will change anything. Kindly keep your discussions healthy and respect one another. We have alerted all our RB moderators to monitor the boards and gave them the green light to ban and sanction offenders without prejudice.
Best of luck to all participants of RPC 2007.
Thank you.
Always your servants,
THE RPC 2007 TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE
