Thought I’d share with you some game features of the upcoming latest patch to Philippine Ragnarok Online.

It’s Episode 11.1 “Rachel” in iRO. Here, we use a different methodology for the episode numbers and we’re calling it Episode 15: Arunafeltz (or Rachel din. No final name yet)

According to the patch entries in iRO, here are the different feature list for Rachel:

1. Background Story – well, the Schawrzald Republic was recently added to Rune-Midgard’s allies. It is believed that their “weird science” holds the key to the world’s future. Anyways, explorers headed west of this land and discoverd the forgotten continent of Arunfeltz and it Holy capital, the city of Rachel. The main attractions to Arunfeltz are the Ice Caves (new dungeons) and the secret knowledge imparted to adventurers – the art of enchanting items with further enhancements (Slotting your own weapons! Yawza!)

2. Locations:

• City of Rachel – the capital of Arunfeltz. The nation’s center for politics and religion. Explore the serene and quiet city surrounded by savannah fields and green grasslands…
• Dungeon – Ice Cave/Holy Ground

3. Item Slot (Enchanting System)

According to the pRO Future Wiki:

The Slot Enchant system is a new system in RO that allows players to add new slots to existing gears. While only certain gears can be upgraded, a variety of new items are available only through the use of this system.

When slotting an item, the item cost and success rate varies based on the type and aproximate rank of the item and you wish to upgrade. The equipment you are upgrading is completely destroyed and you are made a new one in its place should you succeed. This means that any upgrades, cards, or other modifiers applied to the original equipment will be lost durring the enchantment. If the upgrade fails, the items and zeny are completely lost.

Only certain gears can be upgraded, and some items will show different properties than the items you were initially slotting.

Note that these features are from iRO and from the unofficial RO future wiki. Features, stats, costs and specs are subject to change once we put the episode in Sakray (which will be soon… yep, this MONTH – JULY!).
