We all know how close Ragnarok 1 is to our hearts. It was the first MMORPG and chances are, it’s the first online game most Filipinos (here) have played.
I can’t thank pRO enough. Because of it, I gained hundreds of new friends, found a great job, and have been blessed with so many moments to help and make people happy.
Now that Waukeen is shifting his attention to focus on Ragnarok 2, I will be taking control of Ragnarok 1 for the meantime. I’m training a new assistant brand manager, Rob. Rob’s doing a great job thus far. He’ll be reporting to me and assisting me as we continue the great job that Wauks and the pRO team did.
MOVING FORWARD
Please consider this post as a “public notebook”. I’ll be jotting down notes and ideas for “rest-of-the-year” plans for Ragnarok 1. Feel free to comment and add your suggestions so we can make things better.
- DUPE AND ECONOMY – For me, the ultimate solution is getting rid of the dupe. Cheating and cheaters have no place in the game. We shall also tighten our leash and hunt down dupers and punish them
- RPC – There are still some thingsto do in RPC 2007. We shall hype wild card more, check out the scoring and do a reformatting of the rules (just the outline, not the rules itself) so that info is easier to find and simpler. I’ve already talked to some RPC 2007 stalwarts. GM Wintertsuki will be helping clean up and work on this one.
- COMMUNITY – more involvement with mods and the GM team. Midgard Police to be refined and to go out into commercial worlds. EBs and provincial tournaments are also planned.
- STUFF – merchandise, like dolls and more are scheduled to be sold. More news on this once I finalize it. I also want to make the CDs easier to get. Perhaps an online system where you can pay and have it delivered. Also, the reward points in MyLU will be made into a “mileage program” where you can exchange it for more load, in-game items or iRL stuff. Consider it as an improved “Midgard Drop Zone”
Any other things you would want me to look into?
Comment now.
