Politicians Play MMORPGs Too
A couple of days ago, I got a phone call from friend and RF Online ”addict” Kevin Roy. Yup, that’s the same Kevin Roy who’s the lead vocal for Razorback. And yes, they also did a couple of songs for RF Online.
Kevin tells me that a couple of his RF friends have met a guy who’s a Councilor in a town somewhere South of Metro Manila. I won’t name the town yet, dudes. But anyways, this politician is deep into the game.
So deep that he even recruited his boss, the Vice-Mayor. This got me all excited. Kevin then adds that they’re trying to convince the Mayor himself to play too and perhaps to get him into their guild. I hope he can convince Mayor Lim to join too. Hehe

Awesome!
Now, I think they (the town c/o of the political leaders) want to have a campaign to the tune of “Stay off drugs and just play RF Online”. This is simply fantastic. Me, the RF Team and Level Up will give them 100% support.
Kevin and I are now discussing plans on how to setup an event at their town to promote the game and help them in this noble campaign.
More updates when I get ‘em.
Stay tuned.
PS. RF Online has already opened another server - Calix last April 22. That brings the server count to 5! Woot! You may want to start out your new adventures at Novus there. Spread the word.

I assure you if you had Loren in that image, she’ll ask you on TV to taken that down.
Classic yung caption haha
i still dont understand why they added a new server.
but anyway Calix is the new “Hack” server for me and my friends, we completely lost interest of the game.
Imagine a pit boss down in 8 seconds, and the ever growing Jumper hack.
Would Hillary or Obama be a better support priest?
Find out on Larry King Live at 11!
GMA is a great tank. She’s taken lots of hits but doesn’t seem like she’s going to fall down soon.
Or she could be a boss monster. She’s a monster of a boss already anyway. :p
The picture is classic and the caption is equally hilarious.
Anyway, there could be many politicians out there who play online games too, it’s just that they are not exposed yet to the public.
Dang. Politicians have now found a way to campaign in a better and cheaper environment. I just hope that I won’t see some ‘Vote So-and-So!’ in-game items or announcements on any MMORPGs.
Interesting post you got here. Though I can’t imagine big time politicians like Legarda to play RF. Maybe she plays WarRock or GTA.
Our country will rot in eternity if politicians play mmos rather than focus on things that they are doing.
There were people who campaigned for or against candidates in the last few elections inside pRO but I think they weren’t serious attempts. I think some campaigners were relatives or relatives of supporters of some candidates.
Naku. They don’t really do their jobs anyway. May as well have them play. After all, they already ARE playing games with taxpayer money.
hehe si gloria kaya anu nilalaro?? hahaha
