Perfect World CBT Patrol!

It’s official, the Perfect World Close Beta Test (CBT) is underway. At exactly 9AM of May 18, the servers opened for the public. I was actually inside the game after lunch and saw an avatar with the name Trist@n - egad! An impostor!

Anyway, this post is all about EMPOWERMENT.

In a similar line to ABS-CBN’s Boto Mo I-Patrol Mo where the public is empowered to report anything and anyone under the sun - from cheating to suspicious acts to protect the sanctiity of the ballot, this exercise - PW CBT PATROL, is precisely the same.

I’d like to empower anyone and everyone to share their experiences - good or bad - about the Perfect World CBT. As you may already know, we have opened the Close Beta of the game to 250 Internet Cafes nationwide and gave scores of individuals CBT accounts via raffles and blog contests (which will all be wiped and deleted after the CBT). That’s more than 12,000 CBT accounts generated (I’d be the happiest GM alive if I see all 12k logged to the game tomorrow!). Already, I am getting reports via e-mail and text that some cafes still don’t have installers or accounts. Some are even reportedly selling the accounts… tsk.. tsk (pag bad ka, lagot ka!). The topic below “First Impressions” is all about the game, this one is all about the Beta (see the difference?)

I will tell the Cafe Sales team, the PW Marketing, the forum mods and GM Team to closely monitor this post so that your concerns are heard AND addressed immediately. Do share your experience(s) whether you’re a cafe owner, “bantay”, player or CBT account winner. I encourage you to REPORT anything that needs our immediate attention. Myself, the PW team, our field sales officers and the entire Level Up family want to do the beta the right way. And there is no better way than to get our actual customers involved. We value your satisfaction and we want to give due service to the people that made us a success.

You can simply comment below. If you have a picture or video, you can upload it to the web and post the link here so that all may view it. (If reporting in behalf of a cafe, please give the complete cafe name and address)

Let me also point out that we will read the reports here and do our best to review each post and of course, verify it and check it against our standard processes so that we can act accordingly. Some urgent matters will be prioritized over the rest. But will do our darnest best to try and help all of you, given the resources and time we have.

We will use this information to compile our “best practices” and learn from it so that similar endeavors in the future will be better.

    elo GM T i know this is kinda OT.. ive downloaded the client and install it but wala akong CBT account pinuntahan ko dn ung mga shop d2 sa amin(Dagupan Pangasinan) unfortunately wala pa daw sila tangap.. cnu po may spare account dyan i really appreciate it.     some players go to cafe winner requested to have a copy of the game and the cafe owner gave them
    then they somehow got access to CBTaccount by playing in the cafe then after that they went home with the installer together with account they used when they played in the cafe
    they took it without permission
    that can be classified as stealing right?

    i can see now players having bad manners here, its so sad. i wish ‘karma’ will get them =(

    Naku, walang tao sa LU office pag weekend. Better get it sa Monday. Ibibilin ko.

    Just tell the shop owners that you are a PW CBT tester and that you have an account. Madadaan naman sa magandang usapan yan. Or para nde cya magalit, maglaro ka muna ng ilang days sa shop nya, k?

    Regarding “Habol” or REQUESTS for shops na for additional CBT - sorry but there are other shops na hindi pa nabibigyan, we’ll prioritize that first and make sure that all in the list are working.

    About spare accounts naman, sorry wala na po ako. And even if I did have spares, unfair naman po dun sa mga sumali at nanalo at ung mga hindi pa nakukuha ung account nila tapos bibigyan lang kita because you commented on my site and asked for one, right?

    1. GMs have duty pag weekend. But not all LU employees are GMs so no work for most on weekends - like the one in charge of the accounts. Gets?

    2. If a shop owner gives you an account, yes you can use it ANYWHERE. But the owner will prefer that you play the game in his shop para naman fair, k?

    I have finally installed W without any errors, but every time I try to run the client application (after clicking the orange button), I keep on receiving a runtime error. Is there something else that I need to download from my pc to prevent this? I haven’t been able to play the game until now. :(

    Hello GM Tristan,

    i know that i’m late and i would like to have a CBT account. I’m playing in blitzbytes in MCS Makati. Its a shop exclusively caters MMPORG gamers. W.o.W. is what most gamers there play. I think this is a good oppurtunity for LU to boost their sales, PW is already installed and runs smoothly, since the PC specs are geared for high-end games such as WOW and RF. But the problem is most gamers doesnt have any CBT accounts, including myself. i’ll be waiting for your kind reply. thanks

    GM T at sa lahat, magandang araw po. Twice ko dinownload iyong PW client using a download accelerator. Upon installation noong una kong dinownload nagkaroon ng error about a certain missing map file. Nagdownload ako ulit noong 2.2G na client and nagwork na. I suggest guys na huwag niyo i-pause ng i-pause iyong download. Maganda sana kung tuloy-tuloy. Based on experience lang po. I hope it helps.

    Also, sana hindi pa late para magkaroon ako ng CBT account ng PW. Honestly, recently ko lang narinig ang game na ito and tiningnan ko most of the featured videos ng PW sa “youtube” and naamaze ako. I’m from diliman, quezon city. I tried na pumunta sa 311 cafe sa novaliches and good news, meron silang installed PW doon, but the bad news is, wala pa silang CBT accounts. I hope maayos po ito. (Sana makalaro na rin ako ng PW hahaha).

    Log-in window pa lang ng PW kakalaway na. I even uninstalled three online games from my pc para lang dito hehehe. I can’t wait na malaro itong game na ito.

    wow!!! ambilis naman po ng reply GM T! aheheh wala pang 20 minutes after my post. Right now tanghali po, pagkatapos ng enrolment ko, “CBT account hunting” na ako sa cubao and katipunan area harharhar :)

    Tanong ko lang po, four (4) times po ako na tumatawag sa customer support ng level-up games yesterday trying to inquire kung alin ung mga cafes sa certified na may mga PW CBT accounts na para sa lakad ko today, pero…. laging walang available na sumagot. Lagi pong recorded operator ang sumasagot huhuhu (pero ok din ung kanta dahil from 12 noon til 8 pm… sa 4 tries ko, “chiksilog” ang song lagi hahahaha.)

    suggestion lang po…sa mga missing files error…best way to do is to click ignore and then continue with the installation…i got the same missing file error (usually ’surfaces.pck’)…if all goes well, u’ll only have those files missing and instead of downloading it all again and reinstalling…pm nyo na lng saken ung missing file and ill upload it as soon as i can…eto ung ginawa ko on two occasions and it seemed a better way lang…un lang hope it helps…pm nyo ko sa ym >> pixelup@yahoo.com

    GM Tristan, I’m desperately dying to have a CBT account in Perfect World. Surfed and viewed PW from the official site, awakens my ADDICT MODE for MMORPG. Actually I already stop from my last MMORPG. From my IGN/nick it’s still the same and I am the only one SteveO. You can check PRoseBoards, cause I contributed some guides and topics in it.

    By the way I am a Cafe owner and already downloading the CB Client. So I am surely be glad and happy if I and my bro’s can have an account.

    Plus I am assuming you that I can contribute a lot and reports BUGs in the said MMORPG.

    na ignor ko po tapos itinuloy ang pag install pero twing maglalaro ako lumalabas at sinasabi na error tapos my minsahe na di ma intindihan, di kasi naka sulat sa english.

    suggestion lang po…sa mga missing files error…best way to do is to click ignore and then continue with the installation…i got the same missing file error (usually ’surfaces.pck’)…if all goes well, u’ll only have those files missing and instead of downloading it all again and reinstalling…pm nyo na lng saken ung missing file and ill upload it as soon as i can…eto ung ginawa ko on two occasions and it seemed a better way lang…un lang hope it helps…pm nyo ko sa ym >>
