Boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard has Manny “The Pacman” Pacquiao as his guy in the upcoming battle between the two boxers this October 7, 2007.
In a report from Inquirer, Sugar Ray was quoted “He’s a tremendous puncher, with great speed and boundless stamina,” said Leonard, who was part of the main cast in Thursday’s press conference.
Meanwhile, Manila Mayor Fred Lim has announced that he is going to show live satellite feeds of the Pacman-Barrera fights in gyms and selected locations in Manila. This will be done via widescreen LCD TVs and projectors.

More from Sugar Ray:
But, hey, better watch out, Leonard warned, his famous marble eyes lighting up. Slower but sharper could also make a world of difference, he tried to explain.
“One big shot could turn a fight around, just one big shot,” he said slowly and clearly.
Sugar Ray, of course, knew whereof he spoke. He was obviously referring to that classic light heavyweight fight of his against Danny Lelonde in 1988.
Well, in behalf of all Pinoys, thanks, Sugar Ray, for your vote confidence. We just pray that Manny won’t let us down. Barrera has started hurling the first blows via a press conference. But those are all words.
Let’s see the punches!
Who will win?
Place your bets now! This is one BIG battle we should NOT miss!!!
