In any competition, after the dust settles, there will always be a WINNER and a LOSER.
What frustates me the most is that we Pinoys always see the victor as a cheater. This is especially true in the last few online game tournaments organized by Level Up with me as either tournament director or head judge. I’ve seen them all, from the first RWC in Folk Arts theater to the current woes of the last day of the Wild Card. But cheaters are a different story. For me and for our organization, they have no place in the tournament.
That’s why we had to put our foot down and come up with the ruling on the Armed and Loaded Double EC fiasco.
Trust me, it’s not an easy job. The stress is high! One has to look into the future and see if all the other teams will complain. But like I say, everything is based on the evidence.
Now that was the “big league”. It really surprised me when my small, little voting rule for my Group Writing Contest would also be marred with accusations of cheating and “daya”. DeSqaullie who is currently leading has said his peace in his latest post. Again, my point is IT’S NOT ETHICAL TO ACCUSE SOMEONE WITHOUT EVIDENCE. Not that I am taking sides. Perhaps he simply has a lot of friends, perhaps there may be a bug in the voting system, but let the investigation take its toll and simply campaign for your votes.
Did our bad heritage of politics taken its toll on our mindset? Even deals such as ZTE and NBN are complicated with corruption and controversies. I think you know that “trapos” (traditional politicians) always accuse their opponents of cheating whenever they lose an election. This way of thinking really sucks.
“Pag nanalo – NANDAYA. Pag tinalo – DINAYA”
Why can’t we all just grow up? It will be good not just for the MMORPG industry but for our country as well.
