Just wanted to share with you my workbench and the tools I use for Gundam/Model Kit bashing. I also have some gear for Toy Photography.
Basically, the setup is the entire third floor of our house, which is an open terrace/attic. There, during weekends, the gang converges and we do all sorts of wacky stuff… most of which gets posted here and in my Facebook fan page.
Anyways, check out more nifty pics after the break…
GM Tristan’s Workshop
Ok, here’s the workbench. It’s an old study table that I converted. It has glass-covered panels above and storage below where I keep other stuff and kits.
Here’s the middle panel. Where I keep all the paint, paraphernalia and what-not that we use for modeling.
The orange tool box contains all our Acrylic paints. We keep the different paints like lacquer and enamel in another container.
The top floor contains all the cans… primer, paint, thinners, etc.
The bottom drawer houses the boxes and some kits in-progress.
There are more boxes on the shelf on the opposite wall… whew!
To the right of my workbench is my “knick-knack” bin. This houses the airbrush (when not in use), plastic cups (for mixing), masks, tapes, and all other misc stuff.
Here’s the airbrush stored…
To the back of that is the spray booth. This is where the dirty work gets done.
The spray booth is a modified old wooden closet. I placed a couple of cheapo clip-it lamps to help us see better.
There’s the ol’ trusty compressor. Lotsa dust.. I admit. All the wires and extension cords are also in this drawer.
Just to the back of that is the common workbench. This one’s a long table where we take our places during weekends.
A sampling of my workbench…
Here’s where I place all the stuff needed for Toy Photography like backdrops, lights, clips, and some toys as well.
There’s the Dome Studio which I recently bought. Notice the garment rack? I got that at SM centerpoint and now use it as light stand and all-purpose stand for photography too. Nice deal!
Here’s the garment rack up close and personal.
Glad you took this short trip with me to my terrace/work area…
Thanks for viewing!
Seeya soon!
