Found this interesting video interview at youtube.

Watch as Marcus Eikenberry aka Markee Dragon is interviewed and shares his insights on the difference between MMORPGs 10 years ago (from Ultima Online) and now. He talks about growing pains, running MMORPGs and even pawning his pets as he battles addiction and emotional attachment to the games.

I agree with him when he said that the “Community gives the game its longevity”.

    I’m suddenly reminded of my Xmas Goblin pet who died/ran away because I forgot to feed him. I was devastated then too. :P
