Magnavox Odyssey: First Video Game Console
Yeah, we all love the Xbox and the Wii. And some people (like me) still love the PS2. I don’t think I can say much for the PS3 (yet).
While, we marvel at the graphics and capabilities of today’s console, you will want to hear about a not-so-famous one, the Magnavox Odyssey.
The Magnavox Odyssey is the worl’d first video game console. Launched in May of 1972, it was there even before the more famous Atari 2600 was (1976). The Magnavox Odyssey prototype, known as the “Brown Box”,is now at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.

yah… i remember this.
my cousin had this once. to play pacman, you have to tape the maze to the screen.
Jesus H. Christ, you TAPE the frigging gameboard to the TV?!

its actually a see thru plastic sheet with the maze printed on it.
hihi we do have magnavoxx but its a mini dvd player…
