“Study Hard and Play Hard”
This has been the battle call of Level Up’s campaign for responsible gaming. To further this goal, it has launched (or should I say, relaunched) the Honor Roll program – this time with in-game item rewards not just for Ragnarok but also for the other games in the entrire Level Up portfolio such as RF Online and FlyFF, just to name a few.
The program, which aims to reward academic achievers is fairly simple: Get good grades and get rewarded! It all boils down to that.
For me, this is extra special since I don’t want the games to spoil the kids’ studies, of course. Also, I want the parents to know that we care and it’s always good for anyone to control gaming to “safe” levels.
There are 3 categories in the Honor Roll program; the LU Acedemic Achievers, the LU Honor Guard, and the MVP (Most Valuable Pupil).
For the LU Acedemic Achievers qualified applicants who got at least a grade point average (GPA) of 86-88% for elementary/high school students and 2.00 for college students will be given an award. Meanwhile, the Honor Guard is an elite group of gamers who reached an over-all GPA or general average of at least 86% for elementary/high school students and 2.00 for college students for all their subjects at the end of the school year. Finally, the MVP will be selected from the LU Honor Guard student with the highest general average or GPA in his/her educational category (elementary, high school or college) will be recognized as the MVP and will receive special in game items.
And I kid thee not when I say that the items are to kill for! Check out these for the MVP:
