The countdown clock at the official LIVE 2007 site is ticking fast. It’s less than 2 days now and everyone involved with this major project are now at a frantic pace to make sure that all preparations are in place.

I’ll be doing the ingress duties and sharing it with PittyDPat, the famous (or infamous) author of the GirlHunt blog. Pat will be the event director while I take on the job of being Tournament Director. Basically, he’ll take care of all non-tournament logistics, decisions and troubleshooting while I attend to the tournament and the competitors.

As this is published, most of the organizing committee, together with O.G.A, our events agency, will now be at the World Trade Center. Our ingress will be from Thursday to Friday (November 1 and 2). That means no vacation or Halloween for us (sigh).

For 2 days, we will be setting up the booths, waiting for the supplies, constructing the stage and doing a million other things. It’s time to make sure that we’re stocked up on energy drinks - our “baps” during work.

Meanwhile, the teams for Saturday will be arriving on Friday (and we have to pick up quite a few from the airport). We’ll be checking them in at our official residence/hotel and then it’s on to the briefing and testing of the tournament servers.
