LIVE 2010 Behind The Scenes

Gearing up for LIVE is a HUGE undertaking. It requires great coordination, millions of Moolah (obviously), and a great team. A lot of people pitched in to make this year’s event totally awesome and we here at Level Up! are forever grateful.

Preparations for this year began as early as December of 2009 after our post-mortem evaluation of the previous event. After that, it’s an exponential roll into logistics, planning and execution. LIVE 2010 wouldn’t have been possible without the great efforts of the entire Level Up! team. Heading the logistics are my dependable girls, Adonna Tan, Marketing Events Manager and Eileen Hernandez, Events Manager. Everyone in every department in the company also pitched in. From Marketing, Sales, Finance, ICT, Creatives, Multimedia, Game Ops, Business Dev/Advergaming, International, Customer Support and even HR. Last but not least, I’d like to thank our agency for being there when we always need them and to all our Sponsors, partners and friends for all the help. Thanks so much.

Now, here’s a sneak peek into our 2-day ingress (setup) at the World Trade Center. Enjoy!

LIVE 2010 BEHIND THE SCENES

We head to the WTC as early as the morning of Thursday, Nov 4. First in would be the “heavy equipment” to set up the massive stage (below)

(Above), we start setting up the mural and test the chain cables that would hoist it on event day.

Workers construct the Allods-themed freeplay area (above)

100 PCs were also installed in the Freeplay area. That would require hours of cabling, installing and final checking. Imagine setting up a fully functional Internet cafe in just 2 days! Whew!

(above), the mural was designed and printed in parts. It would then be hand-assembled on site

workers preparing the stage.

The calm before the storm (above)

Early Bird people were lining up as early as Friday morning! Wow!

To keep us sane. We had  ”pots” at the HQ tent. Lols!

LU City participants preparing their guild booths (above)

As you can see, everyone had an assigned task. The preparations went like clockwork. This LIVE was one the best prepared ever! My stress levels (and BP) were pretty low. haha!

Again, thanks to everyone (too many to mention) for all the sacrifices and hard work that went into LIVE 2010.

No one does it better than Level Up!

For Guild and Glory!

Peace!
