In light of the current situation over the AH1N1 virus, we have decided to suspended (indefinitely) the Regional events for LIVE 2009.

This is in line with the DOH’s thrust and of course, for the safety of everyone as well. For all competitors, there’s no reason to worry. Although the iRL events may be cancelled, we will be announcing an online version of the tournaments soon.

LIVE 2009 Regionals Suspension Official Statement

As many of us know, positive cases of Influenza A(H1N1) virus infections have been confirmed in different parts of the Philippines. In line with the Department of Health (DOH) and the government’s drive to prevent the further spreading of this virus, Level Up! has decided to suspend all on-ground Level Up! Live 2009 regional tournaments effective immediately.

In place of the regional tournaments, we are currently studying alternative ways to hold Live qualifiers without putting anyone at risk. So those who have previously expressed interest in joining Level Up! Live 2009’s regional legs need not worry, for they will still be given their chance at glory.

We will be posting more news about said alternate Live tournament qualifiers in the very near future. Please regularly visit the LU! Live 2009 website and your game’s website and forum for further updates.

Let us all do our part in observing the guidelines set  by the Department of Health, local governments, your own schools, organizations or companies.  The flu strain that’s currently with us is a mild one and so far, people who contract the virus get well. We advice everyone to exercise vigilance in following the necessary hygienic practices and precautions.
