It’s finally over… all those months of blood, sweat, tears and stress. And LIVE 2008 goes into the history (and record) books as THE BIGGEST online gaming event. With over 20,000 attendees, that’s saying a lot! And this success would not have been possible without the support of OUR LOYAL LEVEL UP GAMERS. Yup, we owe it all to you. Sadly, we couldn’t have anything. Team Philippines lost in their bid to claim 3rd place.

Meanwhile, Thailand claims this year’s RWC 2008 crown – defeating powerhouse Korea 3 games to 2 in their best-of-five finals match.

I just woke up from a whole day’s rest, my voice is sore and all my muscles ache. But it’s all worth it. I’m taking an entire week’s vacation after LIVE. Also, I promise to post all those photos and videos from the event.

I had a blast! And I’m sure all the gamers who attended did. There were tons of things to do during the event – go to the guild booths, get your photos taken with pretty booth babes, play games, have your posters signed by Myung Jin Lee and a whole lot more! In fact, I was SOOOO busy, I didn’t have an opportunity to have my photo taken with Myung Jin Lee.

I guess I’ll have to go for now. Apologies for not posting during the event. My mobile internet wasn’t working, there wasn’t any connection or WiFi in the hotel either. Don’t worry, I’ll be posting tons of updates and LIVE stuff in the days to come. One will be up later tonight.

Let me just get my bearings and enjoy the much needed rest.

Lastly, I’d like to thank everyone in Level Up who helped, in one way or another, for LIVE. Of course, the hardworking Joie Borja (our Events Manager) is on top of that list. She’s responsible for all the logistics for this major event. Thanks also to all the members of the Marketing team, the Tournament Execom, GM Garamond and his marshals, GPS, ICT, Sales, GS-CS and Finance who all did their assignments to make this year’s LIVE 2008 a success. To you guys, goes the glory.
