Day 1 Highlights

RWC

• Philippines defeats Germany 2-0 in the first match of the day to advance to the next round
• Thailand crushes Brazil 2-0 and prepares for a next round fight with Taiwan
• It’s like the cold war again as USA defeats Russia 2-1 and advances to the next round against Korea who got a bye
• France defeats China 2-1 in a match frought with technical difficulties
• Philippines rolls over Japan in seconds and gets over them to the semis 2-0
• Thailand continues its 2-0 sweep against Taiwan

Other Tournaments and updates

• There were early birds as early as 4pm of Friday, btw! 
• The opening ceremony was awesome! Op cors, I have no pics since I hosted. Sigh. But I’ll get from other cams from my team.
• In Freestyle, Turbulence of GMA becomes the 2008 All-Stars Champion. Wiping out UPC Elites Batangas in the finals
• CEO Jane Walker and yours truly announce our 3 new games – Hello Kitty Online, Emil Chronicles Online and Rohan (More details on each on separate posts, kids!)
• in another game with delays, the Bellato Immortals blows over the Accretian Masterminds 3-0 to become this year’s RF NEST Champion
• Myung Jin Lee draws a crowd during his authograph signing
• Me and Gamer Babe Pam give away lots of in-game items during the raffles
