Level Up Games - What’s Up?

Another exciting and frenetic week here at the office. (So what else is new?!?)

Top of the charts is the celebration of our 5th year anniversary as a company. We’re having a thanksgiving mass today at 5pm here at the office and then tomorrow, we have a small gathering cum party with friends after office.

I also organized the first-ever Level Up Toy Festival: where employees can get to showcase their toy collections and senior managers get to judge them. Submission begins this week and judging will be on Friday. I’m sure that the departments are gonna “out-do” one another in this cool internal event. I foresee a lot of Transformers toys to show up. Promise, I’ll post the pics ASAP.

As for my team, we’re busy with the following stuff:

RF ONLINE EPISODE 2 - soon, RF will be undergoing a major transformation beginning with the scheduled test of Episode 2 in Omicron today. There will be an NEW ITEM MALL as well as some updates to racial abilities. We all know that Cora gets special treatment this patch but the meta-game of 3 races and strategies plus the constant feedback from the community will make for an exciting and cool PVP environment. I’ved scheduled an online interview with Keith Morales, Brand Manager for Episode so that we’ll grind him for juicy info on this topic and you’ll see it here only at gmtristan.com
FLYFF VERSION 8 - I’ve already posted system and game changes for V8 which we’re calling “Heroes Rising”. This is scheduled to patch tomorrow after maintenance. Don’t worry, the patch will only be 4oMB so we’re not printing a lot of CDs. Still, we have allocation for those who want to try FlyFF and install a fresh one into their PCs. Tomorrow, GM Atma (Wudie Morales, BM for FlyFF) and I will be at the Mandarin for a special press conference for this. We’ve invited some bloggers to cover the event and we’re all excited with the buzz generation that this will bring. Advergaming partner “Nestle/Nescafe” will also be a topic for discussion with our media friends.
Ragnarok RACHEL - As you know, Rachel, Episode 15 for the country’s biggest MMORPG, is already in Sakray. To top it off, I am currently negotiation with Gravity to give us EXP rates in celebration of the Philippine Team’s 3rd place performance. We also have a special project for RO1 in the works and you’ll know it when information becomes public, okies?
Silk Road: Legend I Europe - Do you know that SilkRoad is patching the Europe expansion today? There’s a slew of new improvements including new European-based character classes, skills and more stuff. For SRO addicts, check out the Legend I Europe page for details of the expansion patch. We have plans to get SRO to you if you don’t have time (or the bandwith) for the full download. Unfortunately, it’s a separate client and you have to uninstall and install the old SRO files. There’s a bulletin on this at the SRO site. More details in a separate post, k?
CLIQ - oh yeah, Cliq, our SNS (Social Network Service) ala “friendster” is now in beta. Be sure to REGISTER NOW and then ADD ME AS A FRIEND

That’s it for today’s updates. Gotta get back to work and finish the marketing budgets and then its off to several meetings for the rest of the afternoon. I also have to check if Wauks brought me “pasalubong”. Rawrr!!!
