JLA Movie (2009) Potential Cast

Here’s another anticipated hero-flick, Justice League of America. Warner Bros is set on timeline on releasing the film around the summer of 2009. The film, to be directed by George Miller (Happy Feet, Mad Max), is expected to announce an official cast sometime this week or the next.

But already, some sites are speculating on possible names to don the costumes of DC’s most powerful heroes.

The IMDB writes an unofficial plot summary - Seven original members of the Justice League — Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and the Martian Manhunter — are featured in an origins story about the superhero conglomerate. The plot revolves around villainous businessman Maxwell Lord and involves cyborgs called OMACs (One-Man Army Corps), who can take over humans and turn them into killing machines. There are epic battle scenes between Superman and Batman, as well as Superman and Wonder Woman, and League could spawn a slew of additional franchises if it’s successful.

Adam Brody (In the Land of Women, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, “The O.C.”) will play The Flash / Wally West.
Rapper Common (Smokin’ Aces, American Gangster, Wanted) will play Green Lantern / John Stewart.
Scott Porter (Music & Lyrics, Speed Racer, TV’s “Friday Night Lights”) will play Superman / Clark Kent.
Teresa Palmer (The Grudge 2, December Boys) will play Talia Al Ghul, the daughter of Ra’s Al Ghul.
