Google is coming up with new technologies to add to their dominance of the search engine business. It’s called Google Experimental labs. To some, they call it Google “searchology”. Basically, what it does is add some relevant tools and applications and change the way you do searches.
First on the list is a timeline search as show below

To show you how it’s done, try clicking this sample search for Thomas Jefferson
Exciting? You betcha.
That’s not all, there are also additional features such as a map view. To illustrate;

Fascinating!
Some more tools to be imbedded into the future of search include “Left Hand Search Navigation” where you can “Search deeper in a particular type of content—patents, products or news, for example. Google searches across all kinds of content, then ranks results by relevance.” There’s also Right-hand contextual search navigation which is “Similar to the left-hand search navigation, right-hand contextual search navigation allows you to search deeper in a particular type of content or to search related terms—but from the right side of the page.”
The future search is now.
