GM T Group Writing Project - Week 5

September 15, 2007 · Filed Under Blogging, Contests, Events

Now, it’s time for Week 5 of the GM Tristan Group Writing Project/Contest.

The theme for this week was The Positive Values of MMORPG: How Gaming Made Me a Better Person.

The past week was really tough for me and the pRO GM team. Really hectic, filled with issues and uber-stressful. Thanks to kind messages of people like SniperAngel who was there at the LUG office last week. Too bad I wasn’t able to say “Hi”. I’ll make it up to you guys next time k? (merienda? hehehe)

Anyways, there are great entries for this week. This project is now in it’s last week and soon we’ll all be voting for the winner. Apologies for not posting this kahapon because of I was busy with the issues and problems with RO and other games.

it’s about how you managed to overcome some stumbling blocks about the game.

    pretty tricky theme, IMHO.

wala ba tayong how gaming make kids a bad person? where kids kill each other dahil lng sa boss card? how about where a bunch of kids hoping to get a chance to compete in the rpc, being ripped off by LUG ? how about kids na halos bumagsak sa school at napupuyat kakahunt ng boss umaasang magkaboss card tapos kayo nag gegenerate lng ng boss card at binebenta to your own profit.how about kids being ripped off sa maayos na service na dapat natatanggap nila, instead eto puro kayo rason at walang compensation. baon nila tinitipid nila para makabili ng load para kumita kayo tapos nakukuha nyo pa silang ululin? how pathetic!

^ if you read entries way back the previous weeks, it’s not the game that makes a person bad. It’s the person himself. You’re given the choice to play, and if you choose to be an addict and lose your real life to pixels, don’t blame it on the game. Lol.

it’s about controlling the game, instead of it controlling you.
