Globe Connectivity Problems?

Here’s something of a public service.

A couple of days ago, a concerned RF Online player wrote an e-mail to me explaining the difficulties he is experiencing with Globe in relation to the game.

He writes;

Sir Good Mornning, let us Globe subscribers be heard. When have major disappointments when it regards playing RF Online when were connected via Globelines. I am currently subscribed with the 3MBPS plan. I have no problems whatsoever but when it comes to playing RF online boom! disconnected, backtrack, no response from server etc. etc.. can you make an entry in your blog that could help us subscribers both Globe and Level Up Games. Our Premium items like pots are just thrown away… It’s like wasting another peso just because of the connectivity issue thru Globe..

Thanks for writing to me. And thank you for letting me know. What I can do for you are outlined below

Maybe some other Globe subscribers playing RF Online can verify if they are experiencing the same problems. I’m not a technical person and I can only surmise that there’s some sort of interconnectivity issue between Globe and perhaps the game client or our servers.
With regards to our servers and bandwith, I can escalate this problem to our RF team and our ICT team for it to be thoroughly checked. Perhaps we can isolate what’s wrong, tell some guys in Globe and hopefully get a nice response.
I would also suggest that you also try contacting the Globe Customer Support and see if they have any answers. I would love to read it below in the comments should you get a reply from them.

Anyways, If there are other readers who share the same problem, kindly let us know below by commenting.

Hope we can solve this problem through community cooperation.

I encountered this very problem back when I was still working for Hinge Inquirer Publications, which had a Globe Internet connection. The connection worked well for Perfect World but sucked for RF Online. What gives?

weird. I’ve never experienced problems with my Globe connection. Must be congestion in the lines. My friends are also experiencing disconnections from Globe but I rarely get them, about once a day during peak hours but that’s it.

May problema talaga ang globe kapag maglalaro ka ng online game. Bakit? Iconfirm ba naman sa akin ng techical guy nila na ang download speed daw nila sa 512 e only 60% meaning di mo talaga magagamit yung binabayaran mo sa kanila…the worst is ang upload nila eh umaabot lang ng 70kb…paanong di ka madidisconnect download mo mabilis upload mabagal pa sa dial up…sabihin ba naman sa akin ng Customer service nila na ang broadband daw nila eh pang browsing lang tama ba naman yun.. Im paying for a 512 broadband for a browsing use…badtrip talaga…sa lahat na gumagamit ng globe try nyong itanong itong sinasabi ko para maniwala kayo kaya speed test nyo globe nyo it will show d actual speed…. hindi pantay ang download at upload ng globe….hehehehe

yup, can’t connect to RF online using globe.. the LUG sites are ok.. but the game it self gets disconnected

Massive lag and disconnection is again affecting Globe subscribers when playing LU games. Please help coordinate with LU/globe on how to get around this issue. Thanks!

same problem here. september 20 when the servers got closed in rf(during alien menace part 1) when it got up again, cant seem to connect. patch failure etc. i dont know if there is a connection between globe terminating its games on demand program.
