It’s a known fact that prices for big LCD PC monitors are dropping. Now that they’re affordable, you can see them everywhere. You can get a branded 22″ monitor here in the Philippines for around PHP15,000 to 17,000. Of course, if you’re an uber-gamer with moolah to spare, that’ll be on top of your shopping list.
But the new Alienware curved monitor featured at CES 2008 will blow your mind away.

This baby is a DLP RPTV (rear projection) which promises a resolution of 2880 x 900! Whoa! What’s good about it is that it mimics peripheral vision so you actually become more immersed in the game experience especially if it’s an FPS like Crysis. Alienware also says that it has a 0.02 millisecond response time.
Stick around and I’ll show you a demo video of it after one more click.
The unit still doesn’t have an SRP and is reportedly scheduled for release in the second half of 2008.
