Here’s the official news as posted at MMORPG.com

The free-to-play online games publisher Gala Networks Europe Ltd, in partnership with the comic publisher Foolstrip, is proud to announce the release of a new manga inspired by the MMORPG Fly for fun, available on the gPotato.eu portal. Created by the French author Rosalys, the manga will be, as the game is, completely free to read in its French, German and English versions on the publisher’s website.Launched in September 2007 in its French version, Fly for fun is a manga-styled free-to-play MMORPG. Critically received by the French and German public, Flyff went rapidly close to artists and illustrators thanks to the “Art & Videogames” contest organized by Gala Networks Europe. As gPotato.eu proposes free-to-play games, the manga version of Fly for Fun will also be published for free in digital version on Foolstrip’s website. The pages will be published between one and two per week, in order to allow more flexibility and interactions between the in-game events and the comic’s scenario. After several months, the manga will also be published in a book with exclusive drawings. The launch of a manga version of Fly for fun is an important event for Gala Networks Europe and shows the success of the game less than one year after its launch. By extending its partnership with Foolstrip, who was also involved in the “Art & Videogames” contest, the gPotato publisher intends to propose more content and entertainment in various different media.
