As one of the games announced at Level Up LIVE 2008, I present to you – Emil Chronicles Online or ECO. ECO is published by GungHo Online Entertainment, of which Gravity (the makers of Ragnarok Online) is a part of their group now.

Basically, the “Emil” are the humans. The game features their “Chronicles” and the adventurers of the Emil and the various other races within the game. I especially like the cell-shading aspect of the design. It’s sooo cute! Meanwhile, do you know that there’s a REAL movie house inside the game where you can watch anime and other vids? Cool, huh?

ECO Background Story

Emil Chronicle Online takes place in the land of Acronia. There exists three races; Emil (human race), Titania (angels), and Dominion (demons). In relation to our understanding of the worlds Tatania is above the world of Acronia, while Dominion is below it. In the distant future the civilization completely depleted the earth’s valuable resources. In its search for new resources worlds which were never meant to be connected were bridged. Complete chaos ensued between the three races. Humans entered into the heavens and underworlds, realms never meant for them. From the aftermath of chaos was the emergence of a new history. There was a great effort to rebuild and regroup as each race reclaimed their rightful spot in the world.

Game Features

  • Cell-shaded animation
  • Lots of Characters – Play twelve classes across three races. Character customization ranges from hair styles to accessories such as hand bags.
  • The 3 Racial Types
    • Emil have high VIT
    • Titania have high MAG
    • Dominion have high STR
  • Marionette System – The “Marionette System” allows a player to morph their character to a marionette. The marionette can then do quests or can be turned into an accessory for other players.
  • In-game cinema
  • Piggyback Monsters – Players may place a “Piggyback Monster” on their back to aid in game play.

That’s it for now. I can’t give you definite dates on CBT or OBT. But I’m working on it now with the developers. As soon as that information is public, I will let you guys know.     Or talaga lang MAHAL masyado ang LICENSE at RIGHTS ng EMIL CHRONICLE ONLINE? Look, baka eto ang mga nagpapamahal: May EVANGELION headgear mismo sa ECO! Pwedeng magsuot ng mga EVANGELION PLUG SUITS! Ang TACHIKOMA sa GHOST IN THE SHELL, pet sa game na iyan! Pwede ka na magpaka-MOTOKO KUSANAGI o si BATEAU NG GHOST IN THE SHELL! Note that ang daming anime ang na-involve kaya yun pa ang lalong nagpamahal. Mahal ang license sa Production I.G., Broccoli (the one who made Galaxy Angels), at maging sa GAINAX.

    Kung ako’y may hawak ng LU! Sana na lang, hindi ko na pinigil ang pagrelease ng Gunz at kinuha ko na rin ang S4 League, kasama na ang Florensia (Flyff + Tales of Pirates) at Grand Fantasia kesa naman ako’y nag-tie in sa Joymax at ipagpilitan ang ECO kung alam ko sana na maraming anime ang naka-cameo dito outright… Q_Q T_T Q_Q q_q Orz

    @about my 1st recent post: It’s proven by downloading what On9G guys call MRBViewer and you need an ECO client. Kinda like a model viewer where you can make your dream character, equip it with different gears and even see the animations done by the characters :D

    hahaha!! nalaro ko na ung Ro2 da best!!! pero impossible na dumating dito un ang alam ko kasi mahal rights ng RO2 parang World of Warcraft yung effects! pero ang pangit lang 4 jobs lang meron :( Ranger Clown Swordsman Warlock hagang

    Changes of CEO in Gravity korea made development slow down on Ragnarok Online II, due to the game being poorly received in Korea for the open beta. Gravity reworked the entire game. Global Business Manager Yunghun Lee said “We launched Ragnarok II in 2007. That version wasn’t really enough for the market, so we tried to revise all the systems, but it takes time. We changed the engine and everything, it’s like a totally new game. The engine changed several times, but now we’re using Gamebryo.” It is said the new Ragnarok Online II will launch in 2010

    Hmm? According sa nabasa ko sa wiki! Run Up ang nakpag obtain ng ECO Online sa Malaysia/Singapore. and Run Up po yung may hawak ng Luna Online!
    Tapos may Run Up Ph po dito sa Pinas. According to Run Up Ph! May bago silang Game na ilalabas! Is it possible na ang naka acquire ng ECO Online ph is Run Up ph? since ang Run Up International ang nkpag acquire ng ECO Singapore/Malaysia. Well kung Eco nga yung sinasabi ng Run Up ph na ilalabas nila! better Switch ako sa Run Up kung magkaganun man. i really like how levelupgames handle their games. but since gus2 ko ng eco mag switch na lang ako sa Run Up.

    Or kung hinde man mag karoon ng Eco Ph. It is possible na pwedeng magaya dun sa silk road online, neo steam, at granado espada. Walang Ph server pero ph distributor xa! Internationally tayo makakapaglaro pero pwede na rin tyong mag top up ng loads gamit ang Run Up ph (Luna Online) prepaid cards.

    Hinde ko ito sinasabi na ito nga yung mangyayari, kundi pumasok lng po ito mga sinsabi ko sa isip ko. Gusto ko lang i-share. Since Rung Up (International) kasi ang may hawak ng Eco Online.

    iba ang bagong game ng run up nakita ko na sya. parang crazy cart lang sya. baka binili na sya ng level up pero ayaw pa nilang release o.O. uu nga pala malapit na release ang New Version ng Ragnarok 2 new Game engine gamebryo na ang engine nya ngaun. sana naman tangapin na sya ng mga tao para makapag laro na tayo!

    Run-Up Philippines has other 2 games not on their official shelves, namely the X-Machine Online (imagine Dragonica-like gameplay with Grand Chase-grade storyline delivery, but with ala-Phantasy Star Universe character) and another Perfect World-like game.

    So… If Level-Up already took over the skies (thanks to Flyff), then why don’t they take over the seas this time through Florensia?

    I will not doubt level up won’t release any that don’t generate profits. Di nyo ba alam pera lang ang habol ng level up kahit sabihin pa nila game quality pero let’s face the fact if game doesn’t work well hahanap sila ng paraan para ma out ito sa market. Sa mga nakakaalam dyan siguro na gets nyo last sentence ko.

    wew i like the new game iris, nc effects parang ro2… pero i’m still level up malapit na kasi nila release ragna2 hehehe well ECO ang masasvi ko lang nalaro ko na to sa singapore server, super bgal mag pa lvl i got frustrated dhil ang bgal talaga mag pa lvl i took me 1 week atah para mag 30 i think kaya di ko na trip mag eco ngaun
