Last weekend, Level Up was full force for the Davao Cyber Expo 2008.
Held at the NCCC Mall from Friday to Saturday, July 4-6, 2008, we featured 2 of our top MMORPGs, Perfect World and RF Online as well as a soft-launch for Crazy Kart, our newest online racing game.
It was 3 intense days of tournaments, stage shows, raffles, EBs, interviews, Crazy Kart CBT demos and free Level Up gaming. Thanks to the support of our Marketing Services team, ICT and our Sales force from Davao City, the event was successful and everyone had a blast.

Check out some more photos from the event after the jump…
Do you know that The Doctor of Game Magazine is a native of Davao? Well, now you do! He’s also an active player-leader in Perfect World and even participated in the PW tournament. I managed to get an exclusive interview of him and I’ll be sharing that in a separate post.
Meanwhile, here are more photos from the event:

Look at the size of that crowd! That’s me interviewing all female RF players and asking who’s the highest girl RF player

The Level Up booth. Sweet!

Free play for any Level Up game. Crazy Kart was an instant hit!

If you want in-game items, you gotta dance for it! Go! Go! Low!

It’s time to play Yuan or Treasure Box!

Level Up loyalists give it their best pose for the cam.

That’s it for now. I’ll be sharing more photos, updates on the winners of the tournaments and my exclusive “The Doctor” video interview in the coming posts.
Meanwhile, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone from Level Up who came with me to Davao; from Marketing Services, Joie and Jhay, from the PW team – BM Keith, ABM Marjo, CM Erick, CM Chino and Game Manager Junnie. From RF – ABM Chino, CM Cydie (and Dyosa ng Davao! /gg), and CM Chase and of course Kenneth our ICT “miracle worker” for making things happen. I’d also like to thank Mindanao Area Manager Randy for coordinating for our behalf and taking care of the team.
Lastly, I’d like to thank all the Davao LU players who attended the event and made our stay memorable. This was all for you. Mabuhay Davao! Daghang salamat sa inyong tanan! (I hope I got that right).
‘Til next event!
